  1. nightvisionforum.co.uk pop over there, you should be able to know a good setup out for £200
  2. Dont use boiling, 60 degree else you'll start the cooking. easier to cold pluck and then burning news paper to flame the fine feathers, same as you do on duck. i just pull the legs to get the sinew out and then take the lefts and breasts. duck i pluck as i like the crispy skin. Goose the same as pheasant.
  3. Thank you Provider, spot on and just whats needed. all best Phil
  4. Yes Neil, Ordered the parts from RS with next day delivery. Magnifiey glass and soldering iron, all working for now. No heat build, good battery life. Just stuck on Vodafone, I can't test it fully until the network is open. I have theep codes all sorted but I just need someone with a generator to run the numbers and give me a network code. I will get it sorted.lol Thanks again neil. Good job if you've fixed it already
  5. if on a run then a 2.8 lwb will not give you much more than 25mpg. i dont care what others have said their will do, i have had my share and have got to know them rather well. once you start driving around the fields looking for birds then 16-18 mpg at best. I did run oil for a short while but caused pressure issues in the system, fuel lines popped, filters blocked. rad popped, fuel pump seals went. the fuel pump seals are a common issue. if you can find one that has had the seals replaced then happy days, its a right PITA to change them. and not cheap if you have to send the pump off to be done. check for weep on the half moon seal on the back of the rocker cover. easy fix but common drip point. change all the bushings and rods as soon as you get, and get the tracking checked straight after. It will be the best £100 spent. all can be one without jacking, buy your self a grease gun and every few months go under and grease her up. there is a plan with grease nipple points kicking around somewhere i miss my fieldmaster, it was the best one ever.
  6. I am sure i can pull them out one at a time if need be. I have just enough to finish the two for the 27th. one antler end will be polished brass but the main will be buffalo. any time that is good for you kind sir.
  7. someone has asked me if i would make them one, the deal they want is they send me a pair of spikers, i make them a priest from one and keep the other. After the time i have spent one these 3 i think i will not be doing this deal again. I have a few sticks i have made with roe toppers but i have a fallow antler that was my first buck. it was a broken head and a cull beast but i think i have it right for a new walking stick. I spend far to much time making things for others.lmao.
  8. I have not been able to finish. i have drilled and trimmed a few 222 cases for the leather to pass though but i haven't have the thong until this morning. i did buy some off ebay but it was so stiff it was as if the black had been sprayed on with car paint. Thanks kindly for the offer, very good of you.
  9. I think some people need to spend time in the beating line or picking up on a shoot. you will be rained on in just about every drive. From over the years i have got tom know NJC, one thing i can tell you is he is the most safety aware person i know. would never every do something to endanger life and to top it all off, he has one head of a head then knows to much about ballistics. To the OP, we like to say 300 for a 6 shot, this gives more than enough fall out even with the wind behind the shot. if plod comes knocking because a local is worried you can talk straight with them and tell then that after 250 the onlooker is safe but you like to give an extra 50 just so if there is a complaint then you can put it to bed that the onlooker is telling lies.
  10. the line is because the back focus is right on the money and good. the answer is to de tune. or just twist the front bezel a small amount until the line fades out. the line is the contact wire on the LED.
  11. You dont need to cut a 30mm hole in the doubler cap, it already has 2 holes. one 2mm hole for day time and if you look close you can pop the 20mm hole out. easy.hehe. also, with the yukon doubler on, focus to the best picture you can and then fine tune the doubler lens. it will only be a tiny amount of unscrewing. once you have it bang on you will see the nut shape part of the lens is a locking ring and unscrews from the main body of the lens. once you have the lens in its right position you just lock it on to the spacer by turning just the locking ring. i search with cap up to give the big eye shine and then when getting on target i pull the cap down to sharpen the image. I bought a leupold last month to go on a rifle. im now going to sell the leupold and buy an other photon.
  12. Im sure, with a bit of looking there must be a way, else how would the unlockers get the code generator.
  13. Anyone on here have a code generator for a blackberry please. All perfectly legal. just as im not the original owner of the phone and its under 12month old, Vodafone will not give out the MEP unlock code. I am not paying them £19.99. i have tried crackerberry code but it did not work and just used 2 of the 10 attempts. Anyone? Thank yous Phil.
  14. Every time i get a cold i end up with it. when i do get it, like now, i'm not allowed to drive or operate machinery. sit at the T-junction, you look left the right and its as if your eyes didn't stop and carry on going around your head. I tell the wife that the Kettle is machinery and im not allowed to operate it.
  15. Guys, We all can see that prices are a bit on the steep side, but this is a 'Sales' page. if the price is right then the items will sell, if not then they will stay for sale and the OP will need to rethink.
  16. Terry, do you every stop. hope you get the numbers you need me ol mucker.
  17. I use to race the 8000. i have had a few bikes in my time, smashed most of them but the 8000 frame never let me down, snapped a few chains, peddles and a lot of rims but the frame stayed strong. only reason i got rid of it was it got nicked. i was ready to give up about then anyway.
  18. Belt sander with fine paper just to take the high pints and sharps off and then over to the polishing wheel on the bench grinder. don't hold the antler on the wheel for to long as it burns and turns yellow.
  19. Fox Warrior Fishing chair. no arms to get in the way, wide mud feet to help with the sinking feeling and just about tall enough. i do all my pigeon shooting from sat down so it works for me. they also do a clip on shoulder strap to aid carrying.
  20. the photon is now on the shelf at scott's you do need to buy a better IR source and a doubler. out the box it is more or less the same as the pitch black in the spec. but in looks. well i'm affair i don't like the idea of a sandwich box on a rifle. Photon out the box will do you for ratting and rabbits on the air rifle, you will need to carry extra batteries as the laser IR eats them. i put a T20 torch on the top and than added a doubler so its now running around 8.5x42 rather than 5x42. I do like the Photon but if the Pitch black was more pleasing to the eye then i might have had a look. but then i like the traditional look down the scope as i don't want my face lit up with a tv screen. so i think the photon wins in my book
  21. I started to read the threads but about halfway i gave up. Why! people living in bubbles, their own bubbles. Suicide is, in my book, not a selfish way out, a lot of the time it is a call for help from where the system brakes down and these people are overlooked, forgotten about or just miss read. oh occasions they get very blinkered, can not see a way out, to proud to ask for help so in there failing mind, there is only one way. the ones asking for help seam to be the ones in public, they have tried everything that they know how to on asking for help by we have not picked up on the signs, we have failed them and in an attempt in asking for help their help suicide was just to perfect and their short time on this earth has gone. you also have the ones that are terminally ill. they have been given a shortened life expectancy. now wishing to see their loved one struggling to copy as a disease takes hold they wish to end their life. some can talk it though with their loved ones and take the assisted suicide root. others do not have this option. The gentleman next door tried to take his life after being diagnosed with bowel cancer, he wanted to pass with some dignity but also didn't want to put extra burden on the struggle NHS. it was a failed attempt as his wife returned home early as she had forgotten something. she found him hanging out the loft hatch. If she had not come home then, yes she would have been saddened, but in time she understood the reasons. as he wasn't successful she had to watch the one person in her life that she loved with all her heart, the person that only a few months before be he strength and what would appear to be fit and well. over the last few months of his life she would not leave his side in fear of him trying again. she watched him fad from the man he once was to a body that she had to clean, try to feed and then watch die with no dignity. Who was the selfish one in this? sorry but as humans we are very selfish, we would rather cling onto a glimmer of hope rather than face up to the truth. I watched my mother die, it took a year, spent the time in a hospital, being pumped with drugs to keep her alive yet there was nothing else they could do for her. she said to me 9 months before she died, that she would never leave the hospital. I think the real reason we say suicide is a selfish way out is because we don't understand and its the only way we can come to terms with it. Please guys, how ever angry and upset this act makes us. try to understand what was going though their head at the time. the ones that go off somewhere, other the way, and finish their time on this earth are in my mind the brave. could you do it, i know i couldn't. the ones in public are only asking for help and its gone wrong for them.
  22. haha! very kind of them to think of that for him. next your be telling me that they also included the cigarette holder, clear with blue lids so you can find them and see how many are left in the tube.
