Its a chicken and egg situation, if more people bought them they would be more choice and better prices. -

Car Sat-Nav options? traditional, mobile phone, double DIN?

used to be a magistrate so got got all the briefing notes. The law says Its an offence for a driver in a car to use (or make use of) a mobile phone or other communication devices like CB in a moving vehicle or in some cases a stationary vehicle.. Its the basic standard mobile phone in cars legislation. "Make use of" is the crunch, usually regarded as any moving screen display, Sat nav, movies, games TV etc Key point is the act doesn't make any exemption for sat navs or any other app that phone is being used for. Only grey area allows that hands free must not be visual only voice activated but frankly thats under threat too. -

Technically its still illegal to have a mobile phone in a car with a display on the phone visible to the driver, You don't have to be touching a mobile to be classed as using it. Even if its on a route planner. I know a lot of people will be suprised by that and even disagree but I can tell you with absolute certainty its correct. I saw several convictions go through. TomTom or Garmin providing the same function is legal because it is not a communication device but its still illegal to fix to a windscreen in such a way that it obstructs your forward vision. General rule of thumb there is within the area swept by the wipers. -
Yes I agree, a stripped out hornet with a stainless barrel you can squirt bore foam down if cleaning is the problem sounds way better than a HMR, you still have to clean a HMR or a WSM they foul up too. The problem of choice with HMR and WSM ammo is a British thing. Go into a gunshop in US and there is a whole row of choices. Plus mail order.

I first encountered the HMR in America shooting coyotes and it had serious shortcomings for that A "hummer" bullet is its weak link, its almost frangible, it just goes to pieces on bigger bones so a chest shot from the side is in danger of hitting the leg /shoulder area. It causes a nasty surface wound but with no penetration. L

When you dig deep into all sorts of campaining groups like BLM, ER and even Mumsnet you find hard left activists behind the scenes pulling the strings. Im sure its no coincidence

There will be no jobs at the end of all this, just contracts. We are still in the "phoney war" created by furlough at the moment

Every mobile phone, even an old nokia is continually tracked and recorded now and has been for years by which tower it is signed on to. If you tell the police you were in a pub in the next town last Friday night with friends they can check whether you were in the vicinity of the pub. You agreed to data sharing when you took out your contract

When people stop dying every day? The idea of a lockdown, which is still in place ,is to reduce to a minimum unnecessary possibilities for spreading the infection track their mobile phones

I know others disagree with me but I think they were extremely selfish and stupid to go in the first place. Now its all come unravelled they are busy complaining to interviewers its not fair, there was always a risk and they must have known that. Nobody ever said it was totally safe as far as I'm aware. I don't see a holiday in Spain as being esencial travel, I see it as extremely frivolous Now i believe, with some justification because they said it when being interviewed, that a lot of them have no intention of quarantining when they get home.

American figures are more suspect, Approx 30% of all Americans have no access to any sort of healthcare and can't afford to see a doctor no matter whats wrong with them. They will go unrecorded and undiagnosed. Its not unusual to hear of people in America suffering from serious illness decline treatment because it would bankrupt the family Spain has lost more than a million jobs in the tourist industry, the pressure to get things back up and running must have been immense

The American Civil war was caused by the States arguing among themselves about how much they should pay. The Southern States felt (justifiably) they were being asked to pay more than their fair share and other States were not contributing enough. Then Louisiana had enough and left. The parallels between the US then and the EU today is actually quite remarkable. Hope it doesn't end the same way

This is the problem they have in Cornwall, they don't want the tourists and their germs and litter at present but the entire Cornish economy is built on the tourist pound. Some people are putting signs up on the bridges saying go home. Others are desperate to full their empty holiday lets with paying guests. The question is now emerging did the Spanish disclose the full facts and carry out proper risk assessments before they opened up for business or was it desperate times require desperate measures?

My workmate / near neighbour and his wife had a daughter within a few days of our son being born so they grew up together, went to all the same play groups etc. Alan and his wife never allowed their daughter to be vaccinated for anything

In the Telegraph this morning, the isolation period was reimposed after ten people were identified as having returned to the UK from Spain with symptoms and subsequently tested positive. This was much higher than expected, and they were from the first wave of returning tourists, the fear was it would be just the tip of the iceberg. Many more would not yet showing symptoms or would be asymptomatic. The Government has concluded that infection levels in Spain were higher than were being officially reported. That is now being confirmed by other data. Other countries are under investigation, France, Germany, Croatia have been mentioned
