The police only reluctantly charged him when they were forced to and then only with 3rd degree murder. His judge will be carefully picked as will the jury. No such thing as justice in the US legal system, they don't embrace the concept of sub judice, it will be a massive media circus on a par with the O J Simpson case

Having lived and worked in the US my view is that he wasn't treated that way specifically because he was black. A white person could just as easily have been treated exactly the same way. The problem is that the police over there have always been unaccountable. The only difference now is it was filmed on somebody's phone

Most magazines produce articles in line with the wishes of their advertisers, fairly obviously. If they are writing articles supporting steel shot its because that's what their advertisers are telling them to do.

Its definitely classed as fly tipping. It goes on a lot round here. You are unlikely to get caught though

No I am not including the professionals at the coal face in my comments, There were multiple failings from a lack of preparedness to sourcing essencial supplies from abroad allowing orders to be cancelled. Just to give a parallel example, the American military requires everything they buy to be made in the USA, not just planes and tanks or rifles and ammo. That goes right down all the components used within the planes and vehicles etc. And all the way down to paper clips and toilet paper everything has to be made entirely within the US from materials produced in the US. Its part of their defence procurement policy and its in place for a reason. You can see a similar logic for the NHS when it sources PPE only being allowed to buy from within the UK

A lot of these places it will be damage limitation, just trying to get any money over counter is better than nothing at all coming in. The thing we don't know yet is how much this is going to change our habits. Will we ever go back to life as it was? crowded bars, crowded buses etc? Packed stadiums, cheap holidays abroad etc

I know of a pub in Cornwall that has never closed, and its not illegal because they have been able to do things sensibly. They have a big garden and car park so the locals just sit outside with proper separation and order through the window or by phone.

I think lord Sugar is right though, people like James O'Brian on LBC and Piers Morgan on GMB are endlessly negative and critical. O'Brian in particular, I am amazed he is still on air, he just calls people liars and slimebags yet offers no reason for his assertions. Not journalists, they are shock jocks, they build their viewer / listener numbers up by being outrageous. It works very well for them but don't confuse it with proper reporting of the facts.

Cornwall is rammed to capacity every year anyway so no surplus capacity, but I think we will not have the lockdown fully lifted this summer. Mind you I know a lot of holiday lets are busy now and have been all through
