  1. Wb123 - I wouldn't bother, it's unusual bordering on sickly - the guy at Morrison's spent over half an hour looking thru their stores before finally finding a pack of eight bottles that I then felt duty bound to buy - got 7 left that are going down the sink. The Sainsbury one you mention I'm guessing is the "London Porter" this is made by the Shepherd Neame Brewery so is bound to be good - I think they supply this one to various Supermarkets who brand it as their own. Still struggling to find a better one than the Fullers but enjoying the quest .
  2. Brilliant...thanks for the replies, much appreciated .
  3. Just applying for a variation to allow a .17 HMR and wondering if I need to put "expanding" down in the Ammo details section?
  4. I totally understand your point Graham but this scenario comes down to the Police and their ability to decide how they see the law - a cabinet is not essential. I think that prosecution will be down to how much the local police want to push it - guidelines are one thing but the attitude of your average FEO can vary considerably and more so over the last couple of years when they have been so behind with applications/renewals.
  5. Graham M ....as far as I know he only has to take "reasonable precautions" to prevent access by under 18's - who determines what this means is unclear. If I tell my kids not to touch my Air Rifles then I expect them not to do so, is this a reasonable precaution? (worked for me for over 10 years - not one of my 3 kids ever went near my Guns when they were spread around the house) - whilst buying a cabinet may well be the safest course to take I'm not sure that the Law can force you to do so? As for the latest attempts by Whitehall to further strangle the Shooting fraternity, I say we should remember that attack is the best form of defence - rather than bending over and waiting with a tube of KY why do we not petition Parliament for an increase in the power levels of Airguns?
  6. Just tried the plum porter Danger-mouse....
  7. Both items arrived today - perfect condition as described - many thanks Rob - don't know why you sold them but I'm glad you did, saved me well over £100 and you are a perfect gentleman to deal with - Top Man .
  8. After sitting for hours on frozen ground and shooting off my knees I find a Senna Pod almost essential.
  9. You cannot contact Trading Standards, you now have to go via Consumer Direct. I have already done this but they are a total waste of space - they simply repeat the advice they gave me 3 months ago when the situation began despite me informing them that the trader simply will not listen - they ended the conversation by saying that they "might" pass the information on to TS but that TS are under no obligation to act or respond. The warranty, they have decided is an "add on" and as such does not come under any legislation. I have repaired the car at my own cost (apart from the credit card companies contribution) because we needed transport over Christmas after having the car sitting motionless for 6 weeks in Nov/Dec following advice from 2 independent Land Rover specialists (gearbox fault showing on dash and car occasionally going into limp home mode) - but this is all water under the bridge now - I need to warn others so my current problem is with Google reviews and how the dealer is getting the review removed?
  10. OK- bought a car from a dealer who turned out to be a real conman-car broke down after a couple of minor issues after 6 days but the dealer refused to accept that the 30 return laws even existed. To date I have spent over £1k in repairs and the credit card that I used (to give a little extra piece of mind) has paid out just under £600 - I have now just discovered that the warranty that he put on the car was never paid for so is void. So I left feedback on google - everything I have printed is true and I can prove but somehow the review keeps getting removed - any ideas? ( I also commented on his youtube clip of my very car and that comment was also removed) - any help gratefully received.
  11. I was over 3 minutes into the clip before I noticed that she was holding a Rifle
  12. When was it sleeved Mick and by whom? + can you date it a little more accurately? Can you show pics of the proof marks or pm them to me?
  13. Richmond contain 42% Pork and cost around the £2 mark - same content as Sainsbury's at 80p/pack.
  14. "The Black Farmer" do some nice sausages but it's a shame you are not closer as we have a Farm nearby that makes sausages to an old English recipe - they use their own pork and pay a Butcher to visit the farm one day a week to joint all the meat etc - think they are about 96% Pork from memory and no fat comes out of them when cooking - amazing. As for Richmond we normally get them for 1p/pack as they reach their sell by date and the other half makes Sausage Rolls out of them adding Caramelised Onion Chutney to give some flavour.
  15. Should there not be a "stop" across the top of the belt?
  16. Use a circular saw - clamp a piece of batten the correct distance from the bottom of the door to act as a stop and allow the saw to remove just about a blades width - easy as.
  17. Just out of interest Graham - why were you shooting at such a distance? Why not move your hide closer and take head shots?
  18. I put anything over 1" ish in the green waste bin, anything else gets thrown on the lawn and mowed into shreds with my ride on - most petrol mowers will do the same job.
  19. Navy Arms are made in NJ USA and are not connected to Army & Navy AFAIK....you will also , most likely, find by measuring the barrels that these guns are actually true 13 gauge - 12g wads will fit but you will bend your Ram Rod (painful) 13g wads (readily available) are a much better fit. Hope this helps.

    Auschwitz

Mmmm, tricky post to reply to without emotions effecting any sensible conclusion or excuse for behaviour that seems par for the course these days. Sadly the Human race seems adept at forgetting the heinous crimes that our civilised World commits with alarming frequency. That such an event as the Holocaust has been turned into little more than a photo opportunity for some is unforgivable.
  21. Raising a dent like that on a Damascus barrel is going to be 50/50 chance of success - depends on the original quality of the welding/material used and faced with a likely 100 year old gun it's going to be a brave Gunsmith who attempts it .
  22. Bought the ZKM452 many years ago now and it looks/shoots like new so well made - actually only bought the CZ initially because they were the only company to give us the time of day at a Bisley event where we were looking for our first RF. I bought my son the S200 when he began shooting at the age of 10 and It soon became obvious that it would easily match my S410 in terms of accuracy, considering the S410's Lother barrel that's some accolade. Apologies to OP for straying off topic.
  23. How does this work then if an RFD wants to buy stock from another RFD for selling on - let's just say that Mick buys a gun he believes he can make a few quid on from another RFD - where's the difference if he does this and gets a buyer straight away?
  24. You have to use an S200 to understand it....the stock looks like it was made by a child, the trigger looks like a part that's fallen out of an Airfix kit , the Bolt feels like it would be more at home on an ancient stable door whilst the whole conglomeration of it's parts appear to be designed for some kind of deranged Umpa lumpa, but take the trouble of actually hunting with one and then try and honestly admit that you are not rather smitten.
  25. Tried that one Danger-Mouse.....tastes odd to me, Coffee is for after you fall over not before .
