My .22 is set at approx. 20 yards!!! Seems to hold pretty true up to about 30 then I simply hold over. I shot for more years than I care to remember with a .22 Air Rifle and hold over became second nature - when I "upgraded" to a .22RF it took months to adjust to the different trajectory as the Airguns was imprinted in my bonce - just put in for a .17HMR so the fun is about to start again.

das - update...captain impatient strikes again and we scurried off to Curry's today and bought said machine - 2 Americano Grande's later and I'm guessing that it will be British Summertime before I see the backs of my eyelids again.....not only are you on my Christmas Card List but you may well get a Glittery One .BTW - Morrison's have 2 x 16 Tassimo pods for £7 on offer at the moment.
-
das - have ordered said machine and should be up and running later next week - if the coffee that you suggest does not slip down like syrup and then keep me awake for a whole episode of "Death in Paradise" then you will be off my Christmas card list .

I hate leaving home without the Mrs - I have to kiss her Goodbye .

Been shopping at Aldi for over 20 years - some things simply don't taste the same, it's no different to buying something other than your usual brand from, say, Tesco then moaning that it tastes different, I bought Aldi coffee and didn't like it (I'm on a life's quest to find one that I will stick with) so I have been pouring it into my wife's Gold Blend jar and she hasn't noticed (thankfully she doesn't read my posts) - as for Bacon - did you pick up the Bacon Pieces by chance, these are off cuts from the end of a piece of meat that are different sizes and thicknesses, if you pay a little more for the 14 slice pack then you will stop wasting your money at M&S. Most often heard complaint seems to be a lack of choice - might be worth remembering that you are paying a premium to shop at an outlet that stocks 30 different flavour Toothpastes when you only ever buy one anyway. Some Aldi food is not as "good" as other products by other Supermarkets but it works both ways - Tesco Ham is over priced and flavourless - compare it to Aldi's. I guess it comes down to how much you are willing to accept something different and if that's worth the 30% ish saving.

figgy - opening the bathroom window, even enough to squeeze a fag paper thru, will turn your danglies into Castanets - I swear that there's nothing between our Bathroom window and the Urals.
-
We did the same to our bathroom a couple of years back - despite having an extractor fan that will rip your scalp off (inside the shower cubicle) we still get problems with mould in the winter so I would highly recommend an anti mould type paint - we have no issues during the summer months but have to run a Dehumidifier for an hour after every shower in the colder months.

Agree with the high fat causing the problem - our Spaniel first went down with it when given a load of Roast Lamb (covered in Fat) left over from a local Carvery . Did you look at the Lukulus Gustico? Get ours from Bitiba online at a reasonable cost (but it's not cheap - going to be around £2/day) and it's really firm as well as smelling so nice that it's hard not to put your finger in and try it.
-
You might consider making your own food - we have made various low fat meals for our Dogs with great success and you know exactly what's going in them - low fat mince with Sweet Potatoes and left over Veg goes down well - if your Dog is struggling to pass stools you might try adding Pumpkin Puree (Waitrose) as this seems effective, about 1/3 can a day seems to do the trick. Best of luck, Pancreatitis is not a pleasant ailment so endure. As an after thought - have a look at the Lukulus Gusteco (spelling?) range - I swear by this range of food and it might be suitable?

Is it possible to open the cylinder and out a pellet direct into the breach before loading up the dummy shell and firing it?-might help resolve if it's an indexing error.

Denton & Kennell Silverpoint 20 gauge

I must admit to thinking the same, seem to recall most were made by Gorosable in Spain then finished in the UK? -
Stable Door, Bolting Horse but would a washer have been a good idea - could you perhaps put a black washer underneath the stud now?
-
Fairly easy job to do yourself - few simple tools and simply replacing the Spring and Washer should restore her to her former glory. I would suggest that you check the power afterwards just to be on the safe side.

Bit naff in my opinion, sort of thing you expect to see in the states - best place for them.

Wb123 - I wouldn't bother, it's unusual bordering on sickly - the guy at Morrison's spent over half an hour looking thru their stores before finally finding a pack of eight bottles that I then felt duty bound to buy - got 7 left that are going down the sink. The Sainsbury one you mention I'm guessing is the "London Porter" this is made by the Shepherd Neame Brewery so is bound to be good - I think they supply this one to various Supermarkets who brand it as their own. Still struggling to find a better one than the Fullers but enjoying the quest .

Brilliant...thanks for the replies, much appreciated .

Just applying for a variation to allow a .17 HMR and wondering if I need to put "expanding" down in the Ammo details section?
-
I totally understand your point Graham but this scenario comes down to the Police and their ability to decide how they see the law - a cabinet is not essential. I think that prosecution will be down to how much the local police want to push it - guidelines are one thing but the attitude of your average FEO can vary considerably and more so over the last couple of years when they have been so behind with applications/renewals.
-
Graham M ....as far as I know he only has to take "reasonable precautions" to prevent access by under 18's - who determines what this means is unclear. If I tell my kids not to touch my Air Rifles then I expect them not to do so, is this a reasonable precaution? (worked for me for over 10 years - not one of my 3 kids ever went near my Guns when they were spread around the house) - whilst buying a cabinet may well be the safest course to take I'm not sure that the Law can force you to do so? As for the latest attempts by Whitehall to further strangle the Shooting fraternity, I say we should remember that attack is the best form of defence - rather than bending over and waiting with a tube of KY why do we not petition Parliament for an increase in the power levels of Airguns?

Just tried the plum porter Danger-mouse....

Both items arrived today - perfect condition as described - many thanks Rob - don't know why you sold them but I'm glad you did, saved me well over £100 and you are a perfect gentleman to deal with - Top Man .

After sitting for hours on frozen ground and shooting off my knees I find a Senna Pod almost essential.

You cannot contact Trading Standards, you now have to go via Consumer Direct. I have already done this but they are a total waste of space - they simply repeat the advice they gave me 3 months ago when the situation began despite me informing them that the trader simply will not listen - they ended the conversation by saying that they "might" pass the information on to TS but that TS are under no obligation to act or respond. The warranty, they have decided is an "add on" and as such does not come under any legislation. I have repaired the car at my own cost (apart from the credit card companies contribution) because we needed transport over Christmas after having the car sitting motionless for 6 weeks in Nov/Dec following advice from 2 independent Land Rover specialists (gearbox fault showing on dash and car occasionally going into limp home mode) - but this is all water under the bridge now - I need to warn others so my current problem is with Google reviews and how the dealer is getting the review removed?
-
OK- bought a car from a dealer who turned out to be a real conman-car broke down after a couple of minor issues after 6 days but the dealer refused to accept that the 30 return laws even existed. To date I have spent over £1k in repairs and the credit card that I used (to give a little extra piece of mind) has paid out just under £600 - I have now just discovered that the warranty that he put on the car was never paid for so is void. So I left feedback on google - everything I have printed is true and I can prove but somehow the review keeps getting removed - any ideas? ( I also commented on his youtube clip of my very car and that comment was also removed) - any help gratefully received.
