Excalibre - now that's one sexy gun. Scrap the Daystate and just fondle the RWS. Long wait for Daystate is ,most likely, due to them having to source parts from wherever they can get them cheapest, plus the fact that ,by the time your gun is built, it's been superseded by another model (and £10 says that will be a limited edition). Put some pics up of the real gun here.....RWS.

Are all PCP's not "hand built" Hedgewizard? I am not aware of any built by robotics - Air Arms hand build their guns after manufacturing the vast majority of their own parts "in house" - can Daystate say the same? Just asking

Try putting the front part of your foot (just behind your toes) onto a step and take your weight on one foot at a time - the idea is that bending your foot right back towards your shin stretches the muscles up the back of your leg - stand for a couple of minutes on each foot.
-
Try them both - totally different feel IMHO and you need to find which one suits you - I would say, however, that the 525 seems far better quality.

Go the whole hog and buy a SxS H/Gun preferably with Damascus barrels and defo English - finish off with paper cartridges and your shooting will move into a totally different world. I have both but cant hit anything with either so it matters not.

What a joy to behold - I met an elderly gent about 6 months ago who had brought one into our local dealer as it needed a new breach seal , he had owned it from new and bought it just before the war with his first wage. I did not want to put it down and fell in love with the gun as he recalled his memories of shooting Rabbits for the pot during the War - got to be my dream gun, look after her.

Having built plastic recycling machinery for over 5 years I can say that recycling waste plastic is not easy - there are so many different types of plastic and they do not like being mixed. Most machines melt the waste material then convert it into pellets that are then used to make lower grade items such as waste bags but it only takes a small amount of, say, Surlyn to mess things up, companies that produce waste bags etc will not tolerate anything but the purest pellets due to down time if mixed plastics are found in a batch - it's far cheaper to buy the pure product from Poland.

Is there no local gun dealer nearby? A quick prod with a cleaning rod would be the safest way to get them out. Don't put anything hard into the barrel and risk damaging the rifling.

Why not use an Air Rifle or silenced .22lr? -
Who cares anymore? about as much credibility as a Cocoa Tin Lid on a chain. The whole idea of the Gong being a respected award has been rubbished by awarding it to people who have revelled in obscurity or celebrated failure.

I think that they are 2 wheel drive until the sensors detect slip - then the other 2 wheels receive drive. A friend of mines wife owns the Gallardo that Hammond tested on Top Gear ( she lent the show the car as it's a rare manual) but she drives a CRV by choice and loves it.

Buy an RM8 at your peril - it's flawed. Remove the magazine and put a pellet into one of the chambers - turn the mag over so that it faces you and push the pellet from the back towards you and see what happens - the rubber ring that is supposed to hold the pellet is so strong that it tips the pellet off centre as the skirt passes thru - the pellet is thus fed into the chamber at an angle. As the barrel on the RM8 has hardly any chamfer at the chamber throat the pellet gets caught by the edge of the barrel and gets damaged and/or hard to feed into the chamber. But don't take my word for it - try it before you buy one. p.s. they are also really heavy.

I NEVER give my mobile number - if the page will not forward until you do then just make one up.

I have seen this done on BRNO/CZ .22 RF rifles - you keep the trigger pulled as you move the bolt forwards so the firing pin simply rests on the rim of the round - to cock the gun you then just have to lift the bolt and drop it again. Cannot really see any advantages over a safety catch but I'm guessing that a sharp knock on the rear of the firing pin will discharge the round.

I use an Air Arms S410 with the AA moderator in a very public area and have not, to date, had anyone realise or comment on the noise. I believe that the HW moderator has a reputation for being deadly quiet but there will be someone along soon with more experience in this field than I. If you get chance to test a few guns against each other at a Dealers then don't forget that the gun needs to be fired with a pellet to get a true report - don't just dry fire and think that is how the gun sounds.

Beg steal or borrow a gun choked skeet/1/4 or even cyl/skeet and see how you go - pretty sure you will be surprised how far these combinations will break clays at - unlike shooting to kill you are only really need to chip the clay to score.

Loving the thought of being poked and prodded at 1 in the morning at my age - brings back fond memories . As for the penetration debate I can only go by my own experience and clumsy tests on paperback books - the smaller calibre seems to win hands down on paper and in the field ( I have written to some length about Squirrels being shot clean thru the head and still being fully conscious with the .177) whereas the .22 seems to deliver more shock on impact. Being renowned as one of the worlds tightest beings I would not have bought the .22 S410 if not for the above reason (although it is stunning and was hard to refuse at the price) and have ,so far, not experienced the reasonably healthy, ventilated head, Tree Rat syndrome. This needs to be taken in context however taking into account that most of my shooting is currently Squizzers - if I'm simply "mooching" around looking for hapless vermin then I prefer the .177.

You may well be correct oldypigeonpopper - my bad! When dealing in a public place ultra - I always meet away from my vehicle initially but you are ,of course, correct about not being able to test the gun - more often bought Shotguns than Airguns this way but never had a bad experience in buying/selling so I don't hesitate but then we are not all the same so HeyHo - situation is not really much different to buying at an auction though where not being able to test a gun is concerned. -

I must admit to buying/selling various Guns, including Shotguns, in a Car Park - even a Motorway Car Park in full view of anyone nosy enough to look - I also know of an RFD that does the same so don't assume that everyone is a crook - on the other hand I have over 30 years of experience so I know a little bit about what to look for. If you buy privately then you would be wise to beg, steal or borrow a Chrono as it seems fashionable at the moment to tinker with guns and you could buy something that puts you in a whole heap of trouble - also, in my experience, some of the Air Arms PCP's are capable of creeping over 12ft/lb after a couple of years shooting ( bought a nearly new S410 many years back and had it taken off me by a gun shop when I tried to px it as it was putting out just over 14ft/lb) - my current rifles ( both AA's) are also uncomfortably close to the limit. Whereabouts are you? You say you are new here yet you joined in 2013? -

The S300 is a very under rated gun but it's only a single shot. Ultrastu has pretty much hit the nail but, to be honest, you are not too far from a decent PCP - another £100 or so would get you up into the lower price S410 bracket. Avoid the RM8 as it's flawed but the designers simply will not admit it. -
Couple of weeks back I waited to see a Consultant for just over an hour and a half just to be told that they didn't need to see me anymore - got a Parking Ticket as well.
