Don't do that Adge....they're collectable when they get that old

Many thanks for the replies, I'm £400 worse off now but he seems a lot better today - IV fluids and charcoal may have helped but I'm not convinced. Got to admit, hand on heart, that I was worried sick - he is such an amazing Dog and the pain caused by the thought of losing him was unreal. Thanks again.

Finally got the call today to say that the Squizzers are back on the feeders and then the TXT to say which one is busiest, happens to be one of the easiest to shoot due to natural camouflage so the next few days are going to be early starts. Also ran into a chap who controls 168 acres of woodland, spoken to him in the past re shooting and he said that no shooting whatsoever was allowed as the Woodland was Council owned, but he's told me today that the Council have washed their hands of the whole site and that a charity has got a 99 year lease on it....guess what....he needs the Squirrels thinning out ASAP, Happy Days

Cross my palm with £325k and it's yours Adge .

2 for sale on the Bay around £100 in full working order....our bill is so low because the Solar panels pay most of it
-
Mr Cutler....our combined Gas/electric bill for our ex council 3 bed + log cabin where my daughter lives is £10/month so not really bothered too much, our Heater chap says to keep it going for as long as we can and to buy any spares that come up on the bay, not many boilers still going after 40 years and ours is still looking good for a while yet, worst part to go is around £600 but can be bought used for far less .p.s. we have Solar Panels that reduce our bills by about 80%

Long shot,I know, but does anybody recognise the following symptoms, Springer Spaniel, pupils wide open, temp 40, running around as he always does but when he stops his back legs bend then he falls to the side. He is at an overnight Animal Hospital at the moment incase he needs emergency treatment but they seem stumped as to a diagnosis. He has shown small signs of this before as sometimes he simply stops whatever he is doing and sits to one side. Any thoughts/ideas would be most welcome, the vets are leaning towards something he has eaten but, as this has happened before, I think they may be off track.

Depends on how old the gun is, S400's, in my experience, tend to creep upwards over time and the cost of a few extra fps will need to be considered, if you fancy doing it yourself there is probably a vid on youtube but you will need a chrono.

It's a Bermuda so I think you are spot on Winston72.

Chap that did my service is deffo gas safe registered - saw his paperwork and he gave me a gas installation/safety record sheet with all his details - used him for a few years now.

Cant beat the old Baxi back boiler in my opinion - ours was fitted in 1974 and is still going strong, just had it cleaned and serviced last week, including a new thermocouple (always replaced as a matter of course) £30 all in - guy was here for 2 hours!! Heats our 40's 3 bed and supplies oodles of hot water.

Get them lapped out then keep the barrels protected with oil.

It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice...there is NO excuse for rude behaviour no matter what mood you are in - you were not breaking any laws but, in fact, offering the chap something for nothing. Take it on the chin, smile and move on - be mature about it , then find the farms phone number and make sure that every double glazing/ Solar panel company you can find gives him a call.

I use disposable alcohol wipes - you can get them just about anywhere as they're for cleaning your specs, they come in little tear open packets and you can keep one in your pocket, cost a couple of squid a box.

Any tips for squeezing more guns into a cabinet?

No cabinets dents/scratches on any of my guns, OF, gun socks are the order of the day. -
As said, you should store her uncocked - you can, of course "decock" these by simply holding the bolt open, pulling the trigger then easing the bolt back forwards btw - mine runs best at 170bar and most seem the same, this should give you around 60 shots capable of removing a gnats wedding tackle.

We need them to wait there till 2020....then we can worry them with the new Queen Elizabeth...if it's ready, which, lets face it, it wont be....but we could post them an artists impression of what it could look like.

Looks like a common thorn apple - pretty sure it's quite nasty.

Mild saline treats conjunctivitis although I don't understand why your vet would diagnose it when the dog only had scratches? - maybe a preventative but I don't believe that one is directly connected to the other - it's normally a virus.

Seems to vary considerably then depending on your area/what mood your FEO is in? My licence is up for renewal in Feb and the application went in today - we have a different FEO from last time so I will wait and see what happens -

Do the police know how big your cabinet is?? Does it state clearly on the cabinet that this cabinet will only hold a certain amount of guns? Does your FEO actually count the spaces in the foam dividers to see how many "bays" there are?....what if you remove the foam divider? p.s. Just rang my FEO and she informs me that you MAY be advised to improve your security if you have more guns than people normally own but that they have no idea as to your storage capabilities nor is it a question on any paperwork. -

The amount of guns inside a single cabinet has no effect whatsoever on it's security - end of. If on the other hand, you decide to buy several guns there could be a point where your FEO might consider that additional security might be a wise move - thieves are more likely to target a house brimming with guns than one with a single weapon .As for fitting a Yale type lock - there could be any number of reasons - maybe your FEO spotted that your lock was easy pickings? (pardon the pun) BTW Guns should always be stored muzzle down where possible to prevent oil/solvents soaking into the woodwork. -
YouTube....S410K .177 fixing barrel shim - guy goes thru removing the barrel - seems easy enough.

Just 2 allen headed grubscrews isn't it? - on top of the housing.
