We went with BT and it's been a nightmare - promised 75mbp but never gone over 38 and constantly disconnecting - rang to complain and Mahatma reckons it's the Windows that I'm using - no idea about the systems that the other 4 users have though and theirs is the same - said they would send round an engineer for £68 to see if our line could handle the speed that I was paying for despite confirming to me weeks earlier that it would.....my suggestion to him about the £68 pounds included contortion, a pound of Lard and a Chair leg. Not heard from them since.

If it was proofed originally for BP then, as said, the chambers are likely to be 2 1/2" - keep using standard 70mm cartridges and you are likely to end up blowing the barrels up or your face off. If you want to use BP cartridges then justcartridges, I believe, bought the last ever commercially made ones and sell them at around £25/box. You could load your own with Pyrodex which is a BP substitute that you do not need a licence to buy and store as is the case with BP. There's a thread on the reloading section about 65mm cartridges started by Captain Beaky that may include some useful information.

The seat doesn't help much either - no give whatsoever and made of rough leather type material.

You should get an Annual statement that gives you your actual usage over the previous year, units used and when, you will also see how much you have actually paid in total. Easiest solution when shopping around is to use this document.

John_R - i'm barely 5'6" and 29" leg....the 996 has no provision to lower the seat height, I can just reach the floor but not steady enough to man handle the beast - lowered my previous bikes ( cbr900, zzr1100, gsxr1000) by fitting dog legs into the suspension linkages but these are not available/possible on the Duke.

Whatever you do, don't buy one simply cos it's the same colour as your car then realise that you cannot get your leg over the beast https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzgTXGHyLhIPc3kyMDFaQWluNjQ/view?usp=sharing Poor thing's been sat in my shed for 2 years

Pop to good old Tesco and buy up every carton of their new Tandori Chicken and Vegetables-chuck them all in a pan over the fire and prepare to experience heaven on a plate - these are seriously the best supermarket curry I have ever tasted.

To those who doubt the effectiveness of cyl chokes might I suggest that you give them a go - at normal ranges and your average pigeon decoying situation you may well be surprised. Lets not forget that muzzle loaders have very little in the way of choke, if any at all, and countless thousands of such guns were used to fill the pot for many years.

The £3 donation is sometimes simply a carrot to lure you into feeling good yet giving so little - once they have your number you may get bombarded by begging calls. As for poor Mnoko and his drinking foul water after his trek why do they not simply boil it?? Watched a bit on TV last night where parents were holding their starving children up in front of the camera's for us all to appreciate their plight.....many of these 2-3 year olds had painted toe nails!!!

Newbie question re 65mm cases
bruno22rf replied to CaptainBeaky's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I also used to own a .45 BP Kentucky rep - walnut stock with brass furniture - looked the business but I swear it was built by the RSPCA- no matter what shot loads or what distance I never once managed to kill anything with it -
Newbie question re 65mm cases
bruno22rf replied to CaptainBeaky's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Equivalent BP loads will feel less punchy than Nitro simply because of the much slower burn rate - those accustomed to using BP will be familiar with the gentle thump of the powder. Cannot understand why you would use plastic wads when fibre wads are cheap and available in various lengths - Evilv - if you want some decent overshot wads just pm me your address and I will post you some. -
Here, here...tell it like it is BoJo - bet the PM's spitting feathers but can she really punish him for telling the truth and retain any semblance of honesty?

Pretty sure it all depends on the type of valve fitted to the bottle - the jubilee cannot be used for diving asaik, maybe the shop is not familiar with this valve?

"when do they have their holidays"? I don't get it?

100% agree Rupert....cyl bored guns will surprise the vast majority of shooters on a clay ground.

Perdisoli muzzle loader Perdisoli 12 gauge
bruno22rf replied to Gun Watch's topic in Guns for Sale (Private Sales)
Pretty sure that is the "cowboy" model...production of Muzzle Loaders started in 1960 by Pedersoli so anytime since then. Nice guns to use but very light although recoil is not an issue with BP producing more of a "push" than the "thump" you get with Nitro. They are not actually 12g as you will find out when you struggle to push a fibre wad down the spout - 13 gauge is more like it and Wads are easy to get from Kranks etc. Great fun to shoot and a real blast on pigeons if there's enough wind to blow the smoke away - they have little in the way of choke but seem very effective out to 30 yards and trying to reload both tubes while pigeons are pouring into the decoys without blowing your hands off adds a certain element of fun to the proceedings - everybody should own one of these during their shooting career
