Feinwerkbau 300 side lever springer, any good ?
bruno22rf replied to magpieman01's topic in Airgunners
The accuracy of these types of rifle is aided by the low power - no good if the thing kicks like a mule!! Low power = less stress, less friction and thus a longer, more consistent, performance. -
You should be able to buy a gauge from your local Dive shop - ask them to fit it and check it against their gauge.
-
Don't think the barrel is much thicker and the stock is made of featureless Walnut - it's certainly no better performance wise than the standard jobby - just rarer and thus dearer .

Mercury date codes...WA 1973-4.....WB 1974-78.....WC 1978-85, should help date it young Sir
-
AFAIK - you can post it to them via Parcelforce but they will not be able to post it back to you.....crazy isn't it
-
Yes please - bank transfer ok? If so just pm me your acc no./sort code and name sir and I will do the deed.

What's your dog called and why
bruno22rf replied to general grievous's topic in Dogs and Dog Training
Pearl....cos "Pearls a Springer" ( i'll get my coat) -
I am glad that you find their service "above and beyond" the call of duty - it's rare in these days.
-
You drove a round trip of 70 miles for nothing then - you should have returned it to ,or contacted, the seller. No PITA warranty company yet my friend cos they are still offering a "Warranty" but as soon as this period is over, as sure as eggs is eggs, you will be contacted by , most likely, Domestic & General.
-
Filling in the warranty card makes no difference at all to your guarantee - your contract is with the seller and not the maker. Any warranty implied by the manufacturer when asking you to fill out a warranty card is above and beyond your statutory rights but will normally be passed on to some PITA extended warranty company.

Cleaning BP guns is no real chore - cheap windscreen wash for your car does the job followed by a decent oil such as Napier Gun cleaner and lubricant is all you need - might want to wait till the Boss is in bed though as the smell is a bit whiffy- or you can blame the dog of course. As for the law on using Nitro cartridges in a BP Gun - don't think there's much of a legal issue - but you might end up becoming an expert by the time you have been discharged from your local A&E - DONT DO IT - might well be safe but it could remove your good looks or, more importantly, ruin a fine old gun.
-
Impossible to say accurately without seeing the Gun - whereabouts are you and what gun is it? Welding a Hammer would not break the bank but a replacement pair would be wiser if you can find some. Stripping her down is easy and you can do this yourself - the locks can be soaked in WD40 and left overnight before cleaning with high pressure air ( if you know an airgun owner with a tank - job done) and lightly oiled, they shouldn't need much more. Depending on the condition of the barrels then "barrelblacker" on this forum has an excellent reputation and charges around the £100 mark, Woodwork, again depending on condition and desired finish, is hard to quote but I normally pay less than £150 for a quality job. Put some pics up and let's see the old girl

I use a lofting pole with some success - it's about where you put the lofted Decoys that determines how easy/hard it is - if you put them in a likely tree upwind then they don't need to be so high to be effective as birds approaching into the wind can see them - tricky to get the birds to land unless you are using a favourite "sitty" tree but lofted Decoys can be very effective at pulling birds into range from a good distance.

Vehicle Servicing for Maintaining Warranty
bruno22rf replied to Uncle Les's topic in Motoring Section
There is no guarantee whatsoever that paying a dealer top whack does not mean that some spotty 16 year old has not stripped every thread that he touched while servicing your pride and joy. If you know a local chap and build up a relationship over a number of years then I would always use him - you can chat while he does the work most times, my local charges me £70 for Oil + Oil, Air & fuel filter change which I think about right as the Oil is £26 to buy in Halfords, to date my car has covered 114,000 miles under his care and only ever had a coil pack fail on me. -
Why go to all the trouble of buying/building a Trampoline when a .223 has exactly the same effect?
-
Try them in Whitebridges Stutzen - same barrel as the Merc S and I did indeed find she liked the old Wasps best.

Will not even consider the day until after Remembrance Day.
-
Rawl Bolts if you are concerned about security - screws and plugs can be forced out but the more you force a Rawl - the harder it grips.
-
Spent most of last week arguing with the other half - she say's F/works should be restricted to displays only whereas I defended their use on the grounds of personal choice - woke up this morning to find a "Rocket" sitting on top of the cover under which sits my immaculate x type Jag - she now sports a dent on the roof with burnt paintwork and a hole in the (£50) cover - ban the sodding things.

Gun alone is worth £400 + simply superb bit of kit.

Why, now that we have voted, can we not just walk away? What could they do? Refuse to sell us Camembert, Bratwurst? If you hand your notice in you do not spend the next 2 years trying to please the company you leave - if it's true that they need us then they will trade simples. This whole affair stinks of highly paid members of the government kicking their heels for as long as they can to milk the country more than they already are. IMHO we need Nigel to rediscover the balls that he had before the vote.
-
One of our Spaniels had to be put down a while back after his leg shattered while chasing a Ball and it turned out he was riddled with Bone Cancer - his companion simply lost her interest in everything and after about 6 months we managed to replace him and now both are running around like puppies. We had Freddie cremated and scattered his ashes under a bush in our Garden - guess where his companion now chooses to lay whenever she can.

As rimfire4969 says NEVER click on a provided link in an Email if they are asking for details, google the company and open your account - if the message is genuine it will be there.

Before you buy a .22 was "aimed " at ditchman, Kev1gun. As for pellets for the Airsporter, the best modern pellet seemed to be AA Field, they were small and dropped down the port quite a way but their consistency at least kept the group sizes reasonable. Rapid 7? I remember when they first came out and I also remember beating , I think, Ben Taylor with my HW80 against his tuned FWB127 many, many, years ago - we were shooting those plastic "Caps" that the better toy guns fired over about 25 yards, those were the days
