  1. Shaun 127 with 21g cartridges is some cracking shooting as some of them targets were a long way out.
  2. I use feathers mainly but do like persona blues and get longer out of the blades, not as sharp though. Try a sample pack of blades you can buy online I did and found some quite good cheap ones. I often use a Japanese Miraki straight razor with long disposable blades, great for long growth but never stop when it's on your skin, you tend to bleed a lot. Also takes time to master, after you get used to it you can shave one pass against the grain and be baby smooth very quick.
  3. Had a absolute howler on the red course on Friday morning, started off well with only four away across the first four or five stands shaking like a dog parking his breakfast the drink and the Indian we had the night before started to take it's toll and the wheels started coming off. Ended the red course with 59. Had a two hour wait to shoot the black course at 12.15 luckily a thunder box session and some food put us feeling better to start the afternoon the black course was a bit easier with some tricky pairs. Ended the black course on 82 let too many easy targets away missed four last targets on four stands. Must stay out of pub and curry house next time. Really good time and will be back next year to try harder. How did the rest of you all do, saw Nicky T and Will Poons scores well shot by both of you.

    The PW clan

When you see some of them it's no wonder they either stay indoors or spend time outside alone in a hide
  5. I like Hull clay and game carts. Some of the best money can buy. Agree on the Steel carts as I don't class them speeds as much of anything
  6. If a cyclist swerves to avoid a pothole and collides with a passing car, the cyclist is at fault same as a car driver would be if they did the same.

    Laptop advice

Dont worry about on board hard drive size use a wireless one for your pictures and large files.
  8. Have a go and see if you like it. No hard and fast rule as to when to start. I started shooting local league comps my first year three four months after starting. Traveling to comps more this year due to having a bit more time.
  9. If speed mattes not shoot subsonics, nice and soft and quiet also you'll never miss, as you say speed don't matter or hardness of shot. Each to their own I like to know as much about carts as I can, just way I am. I like to get something much the same as I'm used to if I can't get my usual type.

Have a read on Arbtalk. There are plenty who prefer them to husky
  11. Honestly can't remember my first with a catapult or air pistol or even my first with a air rifle. Probably shot that many over my younger years they all merge together. Was never bothered by the screaming some rabbits and hares make when shot, due to growing up and my granda dispatching all manor of things with me present. Living on the edge of town next to the countryside I and my friends played with catapults from such a young age that hunting was a daily activity for me. I remember my sons first day,it was on a game syndicate I asked if my son could take my peg for a couple of drives as a treat for beating through the season. His face was such a picture,I'll never forget.nor will he.
  12. Myself and wife are both voting ukip along with most of the people who I work with. If the current political party incumbents think the populace are happy with the way things are they're in for a shock. The lies upon lies and broken promises have left the country jaded.
  13. Nice motor do the browning version still come with a matched pair?
  14. I can see that what's the antimony content and claimed muzzle velocity?
  15. What's the stats for them?
  16. I've used plenty of Proper carts since he started and they hit game aswell as any top brand cart I've used. The 28g would be my choice.
  17. I'm a fully indentured Heating and vent engineer can I have a say. Love these threads, the slagging matches that go on. If I've learned one thing it's that every four or five years a manufacturer changes its design and offers something the others don't, either warranty or incentives to fitters to buy or recommend the, ease of maintanance, you get my drift. The life of your boiler depends on many factors and the advice you get on different makes can only be by experience of owners installers on the makes/models they know. But sound advice is get your system cleaned and add a magnaflow or other and go for the longest warranty on a boiler to suit your needs. If your going through so many combi boilers is a combi the best option for you or a system boiler and unvented tank. Get a heating engineer round and see what he has to say then come back and let us all know to get some advice.
  18. As above I'd say no. No benefit to you as the money offered is a joke but plenty of possible negatives and problems in the future.
  19. No different to a dog trailer in my eyes, both offer little or no protection from car crash. Dogs are still exposed to car exhaust fumes through the air vents and no temperature regulation. What about horse trailers?
  20. Out of all the ones mentioned I'd like to see Jason Plato present it along with a woman and a average joe normal car driver.
  21. I wouldn't of fit in a Audi TT never mind two passengers with kit and a bike tidy  Thought we might have had to drive home with the roof down like the opening credits to the antiques roadshow car and long case clock but it did fit ok Looking forward to this years shoot
  22. The main problem with becoming a biker is wearing the leather power rangers outfit and walking round in summer looking like you've filled your nappy sweating your nads off. As your confidence grows you'll want to get your knee down. If it's just for commuting and to keep costs down get a 250cc or 400cc scooter.
  23. Just buy an Apple you know it makes sense. I have both mostly apple and one Windows laptop to run programmes onlines courses and sync with work better, hate the bloody thing with a vengeance. I run as littles as possible on it and after a while it slows down and needs all sorts of mollycoddling to work well again. Another annoying feature is as you shutdown at the end offyour workday it decides it's doing updates and tells you not to shutdown. I feel your pain.
  24. Get one that smells of deer and your ok. Some of them smell quite strongly of fruit and bubblegum etc. your best trying to smell them first then make your mind up on taste with the least smelling ones.
