  1. Turn up and shoot the South need you. If you have to make a choice buy the Prodigy live album and come the Charity shoot listening to in the car on your way
  2. yep the winner is always the PW charity Orchid. For the annual bun fight where the south turn up courageously for a whupping . Being the winning team is what it's about, and that's North just saying
  3. That's me paid up for this year, looking forward to beating the south again. Suffeners remember its the taking part that counts
  4. Been to the National Gallery a couple of times and was unimpressed by the impressionists original works,to my eye the reproduced prints were far more alive and nicer to look at. Both my wife and i were far more impressed by some of the religeous and smaller pieces of art that adorned the walls. Some of the big works were huge but not very good to look at. Prefer to see art that pleases me,like when you cant believe how good the light shines in some of them. One i like A Woman and a Fish pedler in the Kitchen by Willem van Mieris. http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/willem-van-mieris-a-woman-and-a-fish-pedlar-in-a-kitchen
  5. They deffinately had some made by Garbi and after reading online the Garbi versions are the best. If you like it but if not walk away. A gun is only desirable if you like it.
  6. Same gun as the Arrietta but more desirable, short stock would not put me off if the gun and price were right. There are plenty of good gunsmiths can lengthen the stock.
  7. You need a security screwdriver bit set. Not much online or screw fix etc. Screw fix do a set for £4.99
  8. Like it. A one made with bigger cases would be great for coats and hats, say .50 cal. Get some online and start making money from them.
  9. Nearly bought a ridge line beanie for next fowling season and a Gerber guy hook knife but near on £6.00 for delivery on £23.00 worth of goods is to steep for me. Shame as its a good heads up, great if you plan on spending a decent amount.
  10. Ikea is the best place for them, cheap and they work well. We were surprised at how much light they throw out. Some of the Phillips bulbs look very nice but the prices are to high.
  11. Would the original screws still be long enough after adding an inch to the length they are holding?
  12. My parents have some thick stuff with the yellow thatch in it, looks ok. Jewsons have some samples outside and one is very good and without getting down and feeling it you can't tell, only its not as thick as some so not as good for laying on. The dogs love the stuff and lay on their backs wriggling around having a good scratch.
  13. Wish your wife the best of luck, hope she's ok.
  14. Some high speed footage I saw shows the difference on wads not opening fully opening at all on the pattern, if a petal on one side opens it throws the shot off by moving the whole wad and shot like the flaps on planes, not opening at all can tumble slightly before the wad is slowed and the shot leaves it, a full even opening wad gave the best results. The other wad that give good results that never opened was designed not to open but had air brake type bits that popped out as the wad left the barrel, flight stopper I think or something like that.
  15. If you get the right rawl bolts the more you pull on them the more they expand so will never pull out, use them for fixing gun cabinet, never pull it away from the wall without taking the wall with it.
  16. Funny how Germany use massive coal fired power stations burning lignite a low grade brown coal. As one of the biggest players in Europe and yet we are the ones with all the restrictions leaving us at breaking point for power. I use a high efficiency wood burner that quotes 94% efficient burning as it burns its own smoke, one thing I've learnt is if it's efficient it costs a damn sight more to buy in the first place. This along with under floor heating means one or the other is doing the job when required.
  17. All this ground source heat is only as good as the amount of solar energy to replace what you have taken. Same as solar heating hot water only as good as the sun you get. Your basically using the ground as a solar powered heat store and drawing from it when needed, if you use all the available heat and the sun hasn't shone your stuffed. Air source with PV panels is ok if your needs are very low and you don't mind paying a kings ransome to have it installed in the first place, not noted for long term reliability either. As for pumping heat from a collector under Tarmac and storing it in the ground under your house untill needed then using it up, what will that do to the substrate under your house and to your foundations, constantly warming and cooling the ground under your building. Not one I'd trust. Looked into it all various times when self building houses. The best and cheapest way is as much Insulation as you can cram in, if your not losing heat you don't need to replace it simples.
  18. Doddle to work out use the suggested fixings and swing off it, if it holds your tv is going nowhere. Seriously a lot depends on hold of the fixing as the pulling out force would be greater than the shearing force as the bracket would act as a fulcrum lever on the fixings, like using a claw hammer to remove a nail. I used a flat tilt only wall bracket for my big tv as I didn't trust the swivel types, my parents put a mid size lad on one in their bedroom and when moved from the wall will not sit straight as the bloody thing has too much play in the hinges. 19. 32 foot lead for all of em. No good missing behind Enjoy it will.
  20. That photo says your not taking a wee without squatting, nuts in neck and a walnut whip where appendage used to be.
  21. Can see us getting along great at this years North v's South shoot Love the K80. Some Perazzi's are nice but lots of plain ones around. Love the Berreta SO5 for its simple elegant looks without much engraving. Like the round bodied action on some guns. The martini shotguns are butt ugly to me. Nothing ugly about this Kreighoff.
  22. Looks like I'll be visiting Blackpool this year a few times.
