There used to be rumours local to an army base I was at about there being ICBMs under the main camp car park, which would divide and roll back to allow them to launch in the event of nuclear war. Presumably several hundred cars piling on them as the halves rolled back wouldnt have caused any problems.

Well said. We work very hard to keep things on an even keel and keep even the more contentious threads going. What's really frustrating is when we get people who are very careful not to break rules themselves but who think it very funny to wind others up to the point they explode and give us no choice but to act. Some might not have a lot of outlets currently given lockdown and everything else. PW might be one of them, sadly no more for one otherwise decent member. Well done from us all, I hope the lolz were worth it. Anyone reading my little tirade who thinks it may apply to them know please that even though we would rather not, we will now be hunting down causes rather than trying to be nice and manage symptoms where we are forced to.

It's great with mash, boiled potatoes, white rice, dumplings, pasta or whatever. For rice or pasta I also add a tablespoon of creme fraiche to make a bit more of a substantial sauce.

The only high streets that seem to flourish nowadays are in affluent areas where there is a market for small, niche businesses. Consumer markets have changed so drastically that I cant see there ever being a return to people going from shop to shop for weekly necessities now. We use our local butcher for all our meat but it's simply a fact that if I want the other things I need it has to be a supermarket or amazon.

Everything I'm seeing about this elsewhere suggests it was a deliberate stunt by some pleb wanting attention, which is pretty tasteless given the occasion. The only redeeming feature in the whole thing as far as I can see is that if you listen to the audio without watching the vid footage it sounds pretty hilarious.
