  1. Plantar fasciitis is horrible, I’ve had it a few times. Be worth considering a rowing machine instead of a bike...a better all round workout. I’m about to go through some pain on mine. only problem is best ones are pricey, cheap ones are ****.
  2. It does, thanks - the cold radiator in question is by far the closest to the boiler, that said, I have only been in the house a year this week so with extensions to the house having been made, I do not know the pipe routing but I will be amazed if it is the last one on the system.
  3. I don’t think it’s that clear cut...basc guidance suggests only deer stalking is if on a written cull plan and “recreational” shooting not permissible.
  4. Valve was set to 4 out of 5 so almost fully open.
  5. Stunning birds, I love watching them hunt around the village here.
  6. That was my first thought, the TRV pin wasn’t stuck but the pipe being cold for several feet before reaching the radiator led me to the blockage conclusion - hopefully it’s a bubble and the suggestion about will clear it.
  7. I often wish these loons would focus their efforts elsewhere....like perhaps caravan dwellers running their dogs on hares and deer illegally - which often leads to farmers having hare populations reduced to avoid having scumbags on their land. Stop the illegal running of dogs on hares and then a lot of farmers will leave hares alone and not have them shot.
  8. I was thinking that...the system was repressurised after bleeding and clearing air lock so it isn’t that (it’s really easy on the boiler I have). I am pretty confident I know where the pipe goes from hot to cold so did wonder whether just to replace that section. I may just live with it until the summer - luckily the kitchen is warmed by hall and dining room and we onl6 noticed as I happened to shut the kitchen doors one night and it was cold in there the following morning.
  9. So in my house we have a lot of radiators....27 I think. Powered by a 2 year old Worcester Bosch biggest size combi boiler controlled by Hive. The radiator in our bedroom takes the longest to heat up being furthest away and it did have an airlock in it which I cleared following YouTube and some garden hose. I have noticed this week that the kitchen radiator isn’t getting hot at all, the incoming supply is cold - the pipes are accessible under the stairs and are hot until just after a 90 degree bend from horizontal to vertical, where the go cold. So I’m thinking there is a blockage. I don’t want a plumber coming during lockdown, I am considering turning all other rads off and then running the heating to see if it clears - any other suggestions from the wise?
  10. Quite...the coffee on the bench isn’t allowed - far too many trying to find ways around the rules and socialising as exercise. I suspect that’s about to be addressed in the next days as it’ll be no meeting up with others. The great British public just don’t get it or wish to accept the severity of th3 situation at the moment. I was hoping to be able to put a few fallow in the freezer over the next few weeks but I am not driving 30min to my perm with a rifle and falling foul of guidance and although I want some venison, it is not essential travel.
  11. You can probably access online with local library membership through PressReader.
  12. Yes it is - the British Prime minister is in charge. The Welsh and Scots need to accept that and stop points scoring
  13. If 20% is correct then 80% uptake = herd immunity and the virus will recede
  14. Agreed, and the ability of AZ to produce the vaccine should be the only limiting factor to the speed of the role out, nothing else should be slowing it down at all but sadly it is. I read an article this morning by a top medic who said the theoretical capability of the NHS should mean the whole country could be vaccinated in 5 days - so even if we allowed a factor of 10 2 months should cover the whole country, but is limited by vaccine availability. at least the army is now involved, NHS management would never have the capability to do what needs to be done, it had to be the army or private industry to deliver with speed.
  15. Seems to me to be solving a problem which doesn’t exist. We just need to ramp up manufacturing of jabs, delivered in a controlled manner with the 15 min post jab observation and the ability to accurately record dosages etc. I’d seriously be looking into whether the army could be fully mobilised to deliver jabs into arms door to door - doesn’t take much to train someone to stick a needle in an arm and the rollout would be massively faster.
  16. I agree - but day release to make him work with Covid dead
  17. And when he is apprehended he should be made to work in hospital morgues of Covid patients until the end of the pandemic.
  18. I quite agree although was recently amazed what drug dealer alloys and tyres can do...I have Volvo XC60s as company cars and can’t spec the wheels, I’ve had 4 since Feb last year, the first three had 22” wheels and a smear Pirelli p zero scorpion very road biased rubber, the third had 21” and slightly more rubber - I used this on the three syndicate days we were allowed this season in Lincolnshire soaked clay, puddles, ice and snow and I was amazed. I was expecting to need to be towed, but in off road mode with suspension raised and clever torque vectoring it was very impressive - kept up with and in some cases bettered all of the the pickups and a disco 4 and really surprised me. I now have a V90 cross country with the same drivetrain, 20” wheels but without the air suspension and clearance I am not sure it’ll get around the shoot - but then all it’s going to do is sit on my drive for the next 2 months or so. I don’t expect any of them would be any good on ice, despite hill descent control.
  19. In the Italian job the minis in the tunnel have lightbars, then they don’t!
  20. Yes, was allowed first time around.
  21. Bonkers, we can’t go fishing alone, outside but we could go inside a mosque with 99 others...
  22. I think I’ll be doing similar - need to add some onions to the online shopping! It makes a massive difference cooking the chicken etc in the green sauce I think.
