  1. I've just come back with similair results, 12 over 4hrs. I shot the same place last thursday and got 15 in an hour. Today was my 1st day off after nights and the conditions looked brilliant, so I went off with extra carts etc - what a chuffing waste of time - should have stayed in bed Still, finished with a couple of really fast high birds that made up for it somewhat. P.
  2. A top result H&H and it shows the worth of a good dog. I've been lucky so far and not had a long distance runner, (only about 30m), but I'm dreading the day I do. P.
  3. I've been on nights this week in the E16 area of East London and there's hundreds of the *******. They're all in good nick at the mo as well, loads of youngsters and I've seen some cracking looking big uns. (Just wish the MP5 could be put to better use ). P.
  4. Just heard on XFM that PIL are getting back together and have announced a few dates in December P.
  5. Budget of probably about £500, (probably deluding myself, but hey!), I was hoping to get a ropey one, then do it up with the boys help, just to get him used to using spanners a bit. Having watched him mend a puncture the other day, he needs all the help he can get - it was painful Must admit, I was out of touch with 'ped laws , and this is looking more and more like a doomed project from the start. Still, no harm in trying. P.
  6. A pleasure to read and the grin on your face says it all - well done P.
  7. I'm after a moped for the boy to get him a bit more mobile. These scooter thingys just don't seem too safe to me with their lack of speed, hence the topic title. Ideally it needs to be a runner, but I'm more than happy to do a bit of work if necessary. Anything not too far from Essex considered. Fingers crossed P.
  8. Too far from sunny Essex, but I signed up to give blood again whilst at the V Festival this year, so shall be donating my bit from down here. Good luck up there P.
  9. I've added my team from work :( P.

  12. Top stuff as usual Speedy Is the temperature on the stealth cams correct? P.
  13. My youngest brother is seriously into this and is now an instructor with this lot http://www.survivalschool.co.uk/ I'd do one of their courses first off and get an idea of how seriously you want to pursue it. You can spend an absolute fortune in the blink of an eye on some gucci gear, but as already mentioned, if you don't know how to use it, it's a waste of time. I'm off out for a long weekend with my 15yr old son and brother in October and did one a few years back with him - certainly knows his stuff and we had a great laugh. P.
  14. You lucky man, a lovely looking buck The 1st fallow buck I shot is now sitting on a fence post in the garden, intertwined with clematis - he looks lovely! P.
  15. Pinched one off the labs eye lid yesterday with my finger nails - seems ok so far, (luckily got the whole lot). Had 2 others off the terrier as well. ****** things are a right pain in the harris, (although hd, I've never had one myself ). P.
  16. It's a doss, (and no, I'm not one). P.

    Toodle ooh

Missing the start of the roe buck season and a bit of pigeon bashing, but, for the 1st time in 7yrs, we're off on a plane for a bit of summer sun in Mallorca, (having had some off/on years in the Vendee). I can't flippin wait! AND When we come back, we're off to the V festival - a top 3 weeks off! Buenas noches! (Or something like that) P.
  18. The nippers need a bit of "re-deployment", a very impressive display of boredom. How's the rest of the house? P.
  19. I find the butter takes the tangy edge off the Marmite. (I'd quite happily eat a couple of slices of toast with loads of butter instead), plus a steaming mug of tea! P.
  20. Kelly's Heroes "With those Negative Vibes!" A Dirty Dozen The Hill (Sean Connery) Ice Cold in Alex P.
  21. Having seen her go out running in St James's Park, I'm convinced it's bird flu........................................... I've never seen "Bingo Wings" like them, a truly horrendous sight P.
  22. A couple of slices of Warburtons, some salty french butter and a healthy spread of Marmite.........................Mnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn P. What cholesterol?
  23. I haven't been out for ages, but had a spare morning today. This lot was bagged in about 2 hours on a flightline near a pond. I lost 4 others and a crow in some wheat behind me, but I was satisfied they were clean shots. Shot ratio of about 2 kills per 3 carts. I went clay shooting after at Essex shooting ground and had a brilliant round, (for me anyway ). All in all a top day P.
