  1. My Armas Garbi is up for sale on this forum an almost unused gun made in 1977 Holland Royal copy. You could get it for £1000. Read about Garbi in your book and buy it!
  2. I just cant believe that this has not sold. Virtually unused hand made gun from one of Spain's top gunmakers which today new would cost around £20,000 Just proves I think that the bottom really has fallen out of the side by side market. Only a few days to go on the add.
  3. Cant give a price for your local gunsmiths but do not get it done on the cheap. If not done properly you can ruin the guns regulation "where it shoots"
  4. Half a can of brake cleaner does the trick.
  5. THIS. Gunshop will put it right. I would suspect overlube when assembled. Parts of the action are greased. One spot on the little spring and you are in trouble. I lube the action with dry moly.
  6. Can I suggest you email Browning uK with the serial number and they will give you the full spec and date proofed.
  7. Thanks. Health is improving. LOP is skinny 141/4 to front trigger. No refurb, gun is as I bought it about five years ago. Had come out of a collection.
  8. Yep! Purdies new ish hammergun is very very similar to this Ellis.
  9. This lovely old hammergun is mine. Only selling due to a change in lifestyle brought about by a massive heart attack. Ellis made guns for themselves and Purdey before the joined up in 1897 with a Mr Webley and Mr Scott forming a gunmaking team. The gun was sleeved around 1955 so can be used as a shooter without fear of old barrels. The bores are of course perfect and the stock is a lovely bit of Walnut. oval is unsigned. Engraving is fine "as was the fashion then" and of course all hand done. I hate to see it go, it comes up lovely nomatter who is shooting it. But needs must. I have lots of photos if anyone serious wants them.
  10. I would not think any heater will combat a damp atmosphere It can be warm and damp at the same time. Even if the atmosphere is dry you don't want it too dry or your stocks may split Around 35 40% humidity is usually about right,
  11. Seen these offers over the years. Be interesting to know if anyone actually completed one
  12. Nice to see a bench that's worse than mine!😁
  13. As title. Please Google for full details. Lovely pair of soft waterproof breathable lined pants. Worn only four times so almost perfect condition, just a few marks on the cuff. Heavy duty braces thrown in. Size is a generous 38. five pockets and adjustable cuffs. Articulated knees. Colour is about right on piccys. perhaps actually a tad darker. £40 posted. First to say on open forum gets them.
  14. I got an all foam one a few years ago. Didn't like it. Edges not firm enough.
  15. Sorry rules are first to say on open forum Just read the rules and I am wrong. I withdraw my offer.
  16. I have been a walker all my adult life. Done most of the big UK walks and some in the Appalachians. Number of times I/we have pointed out the danger to unprepared walkers. never had any abuse but most were too stupid to even understand what we were saying. Yes these people should be made to donate to mountain rescue.
  17. Can I have those please. PM for payment. Thanks.
  18. My old mum used to say "what the eye doesn't see the heart wont grieve about"
  19. Hi I have been after some black powder and someone suggested RELOADING SOLUTIONS OF OXFORD. Sent them a couple of Emails and today got a phone call from a very nice lady saying that they were not quite sure what I was after but could we have a chat to see if they could perhaps do a special order for me. Turns out they cant help but what a change from company's who just don't care. I don't re load for firearms but if I did I am sure this is who I would use.
