  2. Laburnum is bad enough if horses can reach it but they wont often touch it due to the very bitter taste. Yew berry's when ripe are sweet tasting and not toxic, that is the only part that isnt, the seed and everything else is though. I've known cattle turn toes up after eating Yew clipping that someone threw over a hedge. As you stated have another chat, the nicer approach is always the best option, and ive often found, easier too.👍
  3. I would approach the livery yard 1st, mention about the horses eating your saplings. i wouldn't say that the saplings you mention are poisonous because they are not ,you will just end up looking silly. If they are approachable (50% of this is you also need to be you too) ask if they have a length of electric fencing you can borrow and a unit with battery. Place a boom out towards the field with the fence on, this will prevent them leaning over.
  4. I recon you could do the advertising pictures for Burger-King. that looks quite nice. 👍
  5. It was something i always wanted after reading stories about its super fast velocity. I only gor round to fulfilling my long awaited want after the issues with the HMR. Put in for a 1 for 1 and sold it. It's built on a Sako S491 action, re-blued and looks 👌.
  6. Funny i tried some last week, without the cheese though, they seem to have a thicker sauce than the Heinz not sure if they would convert but i would certainly buy them again. I'm a HP Sauce guy on my beanz, not tomato, thats reserved for black pudding and omelettes.
  7. Not posted pictures here for a while but thought i would come out of hiding. I got asked to see if i would sort out some fox;s after a local chicken farm had a few taken during the day. i decided to take my 17 Remington instead of one of my 22.250's i just love this little calibre it always makes me smile. Parked up and put the caller out and waited, didn't need to wait long, 20 minutes and in come fox from the right the 20 grain Vmax dropped it on the spot at just under 100 yds with a front bib shot, then minutes later the 2nd came in from the left dropped again with a broadside at just over 100yds. That was it for the night so started to pack up, one last scan and 1 more was skirting the hedge line at 300 yds, it didn't seem to be coming into the call but did come in to 230 yds where it was sent another 20grain Vmax, another dropped on the spot.
  8. .Steve, email best Fox call they will do it for you for free. Or they used to, they have done it for me a couple of times.

Mrs D put a blooming glitter ball in the garden. That didn't help much, and I don't even ike ballroom dancing.

I quite often see them out at night in fields while I'm out. I've never been too sure what their after assuming anything that comes their way. I'm sure it was Phil Drabble that started a heronary not far from us at Abbits Bromley. Staffordshire wild life Trust. Locals weren't too happy, specially the fly fisheries.

It didn't help seeing the fish get swallowed.
  13. I have recently been a referee and not seen, heard or been informed of any of these shown in the post.

Well that's my fish gone out of the pond. Mrs D says there's a huge bird just flown past the window. I'm thinking a pigeon that's she's been feeding. But minutes later i get up to make a brew and see what was my last goldfish in its bloody beak. Down and gone, rushed out the door and it takes off and lands on a roof top digesting the last fish. 🤢😫
  15. You could try hollow points but 1st check the accuracy. I'm no expert but enough folk are advising bigger calibre, and I'd tend to agree. The HMR does have its limits and you've found out your right on the boundaries. 👍 Unless of course your 17 has Remington for a surname instead 😊
  16. But he still posted on YT. I'm no mike tyson but I would tell him face to face that he needs to activate his brain cells. I really thought this post had been removed. Does more against shooting than any mention of felines.
  17. Not for promoting anywhere ! That's all I can say on here , and for the guy that put it on YT well just mindless.
  18. I have room for 2 from de1 if anyone would like a lift..

    Rose pruning.

The only way to correct is to knock them back. We have 3 climbers, the one on the front was left for years and had nothing until about 5-6 feet, plenty of blossom above but was very top heavy. The 2 over arches pruned regularly in comparison, the blossom last year was outstanding. Till the heavy rain and wind battered them.
  20. I just swap cards and view at home on laptop. Simples

  22. Funny i dont get anything like these emails, but then i suppose my monthly subscription to Men Only would probably amount to what these scammers are asking.

    Hilarious!

Their all a bunch of mardy bottoms who all make out they give a monkey about everyone else, the whole lot need changing.
  24. We used to have a decent hotel and steakhouse in Burton called The Queens Hotel. Now it's full of immigrants, druggies and dossers, soon to become a slum and likely to be demolished due to lack of maintenance.
  25. We cannot employ anyone without a right to work number. 1st fine is 15k and then increased to 60k. But going back to another topic, if you don't have a right to work just pinch it. Penalty, simple, deport to home country. Just to add we have had a few try to get round it. They are reported and dealt with accordingly. (Not how I'd like but it's not my call)
