  2. So , you nearly poood ya pants LOL LOL The weekend is starting to sound good. You should have dived on it and killed it with your pen knife. Edy I, m laughing my socks off, I've got the image in my head of you jumping out of your boots, I remember when those big Red stags ran past you a few year's back, I could hear you shout out couple of expletives. LOL
  3. Shame, so there could have been more shot then As there last trip then, all the gear and no idea, its not like they stand there and wait around to be shot is it Mind you that happened to me last year the biggest lump i have seen in the years ive been going, and this Boar came out 75yds to my left and all i could do was stare in amazement, it was huge. Did i moan no! just been kicking myself ever since
  4. I dont suppose there will be any thing to stop you trying using any of the 3 powders you have to hand, there are loads for all 3 powders available suitable for 22.250 My loads are for a 55grn Nosler 37.5 H380 Fed match primers and OAL from Ogive is 2.093, as far as i am aware its not too difficult to obtain, not compared to varget. I also have a load for another but thats using varget, just for PITA fox's using NV. cant remember off the top of my head what that load is but i'm using 53grn vmax. So not used as often as the other rifle.
  5. Oh! We'll see how it goes then Edd, at least we wont need to take t bags. Just dome pigs, I've got one I'll take. Do that's my one sorted. Will keep you in mind Sam
  6. Must say I tried a navara and been in a few mitzi,s but chose an Invincible, my choice. Each to there own, none are 100 % perfect all of the time.
  7. It was -6 @ 950mtrs and a dusting of snow Sunday and chill factors of -15, so hopefully it may still drop ;-) ..
  8. Thanks chaps, I went out last night because I heard ducks and geese making a racket Saturday night, but no sign of fox, maybe they just had a noisy moment. Thats me done now until I return from Croatia. No doubt there will be a few photo's of wild Boar appearing here next week if we're lucky, And hopefully some video footage.
  9. Longchalk very good post. Ive been looking at getting back into it, and buying a DSLR is more complicated than I 1st thought. I have narrowed it down to, as you suggested Nikon or Canon, now its just the model of which make. I certainly won't be up grading every time a new model comes out
  10. 2 off maize stubble last night,2nd visit after going out Tuesday night, seeing one come in behind but being spooked, due to noisy me and a lamp was cream crackerd though so put it down to being too tired. 1st one was a Dog, top in the picture, this came onto a call placed about 8ft in the air up on a platform, it didnt know where to go really, it ran forward then back, then forward again looking for the location of the call. It had found it, the 53grn vmax that is, it ran straight into it. Job done on that one. Now before that i had seen a pair of eyes,in the top corner of the field slightly behind me and to my left, this one i thought was the one i had just shot, but i thought it was a fair way travel in the short time, possible but i'll have a look anyway and check. They do seem to hang around sometimes after a shot has gone off and show themselves, this may be one of the times. It was 10-15 minutes later a pair of eyes appeared, but just the eyes, no positive ID, it could have been a Badger as they are seen in that spot regular,or even a cat, but more likely to be a Fox as i had seen it so shortly before, eyes appeared again this time i had a positive ID as it walked allong the hedge and dissapeared over a brow in the field, only to return a few yards away and sat. It seemed to be looking over to the call but showing caution, its eyes were caught positively in the scope, but how far, and not a safe shot due to its head having nothing behind it as a back stop. I changed to call, well added another one to it by mistake, it sound like a goose being throttled by a distressed rabbit, but it seemed to have a funny affect on the Fox, it wanted to find out what this strange creature was, i could not contain its caution any longer. After what seemed hours (probably 30 minutes) it showed itself a front on shot with the field behind it as a good solid back stop, good enough for me. Another one, this time a Vixen, very possibly paired up as she wouldnt leave the area. 2 for the night, happy farmer and happy me.
  11. Well done, the 2nd picture looked a tad weird, I zoomed in and noticed it was your boots lol just got in and knobbled a couple 1 dog and a vixen, pictures up in the morning.
  12. The weather is starting to look very good, getting down to -7 and wind chill to -17 this coming Monday and i would imagine dropping colder later in the week, so Mungler i would pack you long johns, and take your Pkoks
  13. Nice pictures, and as 955i says, i was thinking who it reminds me of then it came to me David Walliams and his dog
  14. Not this one, Put it this way he wouldn't get a Shotgun certificate.
  15. Aigle iso pacors, now in kaki very smart looking. if you can get those mentioned earlier with 100 off and the correct size you will be well happy
  16. I would love to see there faces. I thinks they should be framed and mounted in the restaurant (very tongue in cheek) Have a good one. Hope you see loads of stripies lol
  17. I was thinking more along the lines of camo crocks.
  18. Years ago they moved behind Nestlé not far from me, the farmer rang plod and asked if they could move them on, there was an option, he offered to do it himself. Shortly after, a few week's, they moved. Mind you there was a large bulldozer driven by the farmer ready to offer some assistance.
  19. I was just thinking, I hope they aren't offended we'll be in deep doo doo if they are, I was thinking of taking some ration packs lol
  20. Heard them calling over 3 week's ago, shot 2 vixen and a dog, last time out not heard them since, think I'm doing too much of a good job ;-)
  21. NV sorts them sort out, its almost cheating. A shooter in my local got upset when I mentioned about me using Night Vision, "its not very sporting" he grumbled. Never mind I said, you keep missing them and getting them mega lamp shy and I'll get the call to clear em up, LOL
  22. Well done, it allways seems to me when getting those lamp shy fox's you've achieved more. Why was it lamp shy in the first place, was it missed previously
  23. Looks like fox p00 to me. Smell it that will give a good idea. Looks like berries in the pale scat very much foxy
  24. Naaaa! Be a rite, I'll put a load down me socks, put a few in toothpaste tube as well, could put quite a few in the toaster !!! Yea good idea.
