Lead shot ingestion in birds

Konor - nothing changes. 🙂 -
Raja - whilst you are back pedalling, perhaps you might revisit your patronising replies to NoBodyImportant.

Highest I ever got there was 47 /50 - won a silver memorial trophy in about 1986.

First went to Rishton in 1982. Always been a well attended, well run shoot. Run by the Threlfall family, latterly with the layout set up and run by John Roberts and his wife Allison. To my knowledge, only two people have ever straighted it - John Roberts and Mark Threlfall. A shame to see it go.

A sad loss. An underrated drummer, as was the bass player, Bruce Foxton.

Unless it commits NATO to go to war to protect Ukraine, it isn't worth a bean, in these circumstances. Whilst I don't totally agree with Trump's handling of this, he has brought peace nearer in my opinion. What he has rightly pointed out is that Europe is demanding a place at the table, but doesn't want to pay for the meal. They expect the USA to continue to pay more than its fair share and then cry foul, when Trump says enough is enough. The arrogance of Macron and Starmer - complaining that they they have been sidelined, when they have done exactly that to the rest of the EU. So full of their own self importance and failing popularity, they will do anything to snatch a cheap headline. Starmer reminds me of Blair - quite happy to send the forces (potentially to their death), in order to raise their international profile.

Rewulf - a harsh assessment, but sadly it might well be accurate.

The treaty specified security assurances not guarantees. There was no obligation to protect Ukraine. Ukraine is not in NATO, so how does that prove NATO isn't worth a carrot?

The finish looks first class.

Starmer seems to be trying to be seen as having some relevance. Trump has sidelined him and the other European leaders and being the first to volunteer British soldiers is his way of glossing over the snub. I find it difficult to take seriously anyone questioning the USA's commitment to NATO. Ukraine is not in NATO and won't be joining any time soon. The USA has pumped more money into supporting Ukraine, whilst other countries are now slagging them off. They have stumped up the money that countries like Germany talk about but don't contribute their fair share. Russia was totally wrong to invade Ukraine, although Biden almost invited them in, but Trump is the one pushing for peace. Others criticise his terms, but talk about defeating Russia, with no regard to reality. Trump critics have compared him to Neville Chamberlain, whilst doing nothing to bring about peace. Starmer is an opportunist of the worst kind.

GrayA - I can't say I agree with most of your last post, as it flies in the face of reality. That said, I hope you and your guide dog have a good day.

My eldest has a Mercedes EQC400 which goes through tyres and brake pads like there is no tomorrow. -

Electric vehicles produce more particles as they are far heavier. -
I would be emailing Halfords CEO pointing out that his own Head office had instructed the manager to get back to your wife, but he / she had failed to do so. I would then ask what they intend to do about it. CEOs don't read the emails, but normally get one of their staff to sort it. I rarely waste time at a local level when dealing with a national company. I have complained a fair number of times, with my highest payouts being £2000 and a £1000. This year I have recovered £40 from the Food Warehouse and been compensated £550 for shoddy service from the Royal Bank of Scotland. Last year I had about a dozen payouts. I should add that I do many complimentary emails to CEOs when I have had good service. andrew.read@halfords.co.uk

This is nonsense. The ruling was advisory not legally binding, so what law are we disobeying?

Halfords warranty:- What isn't covered by the guarantee? The following may cause your battery to become damaged. As these issues are not manufacturing defects, they aren't covered by the guarantee. Sulphation: This tends to happen if your vehicle isn't driven for extended periods. Deep cycling: This can happen if the vehicle's engine is started very frequently or electrical consumers are left on for extended periods between journeys. Overcharging: This is usually caused by a fault in the vehicle's charging system. Physical damage: This can be caused by incorrect handling or storage. Incorrect application: Make sure you're using the battery that Halfords recommends for your vehicle! Wear and tear caused by misuse. Extended periods is not defined.

I did wonder if the racers might have asked for a donation to ensure they left. -
My lad had the same problem with a Vauxhall Zafira Tourer. The sensor, pump and tank were allegedly all one unit, so all had to be replaced - about £300 for the unit alone. In the end he got the adblue deleted.

Not sure about the incredibly rare skeet gun - I have had a couple. That said, a four barrel set is rare.
