Noel - you have PM. I can send you the manual. Gordon

Nicky - decent layouts, but never seems like real Sporting to me. A series of mini layouts. Rishton is better. Mark and Eddie Threlfall change the targets each week and they are hittable. Nothing silly, but enough to challenge you. Food is very, very nice and cheap.

Collie - miner lost his tail - collier.

Nice Benelli M2 on Gundeals Auction site. Done very little - I know the owner and have shot two clays with it. http://www.gundeals.co.uk/Benelli-M2-Synth...auction_details

In any other sport, he would have had one years ago, with or without any charity work. In America, he would have superstar status. Good luck to him - best shooter we or anyone else has ever produced.

Pachmayr Sporting Clays SC100 Recoil Pad (Medium) - they have a plastic insert at the top, to prevent snagging when mounting. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pachmayr-Sporting-Cl...Q2em118Q2el1247

On a SBS or O/U, spares would not be my first concern. However - an auto - so many bits to go wrong. Spares for one of these - can't really see them being a viable proposition. So many other autos out there with plentiful spares. Why take the risk?

I cancelled my Sky subscription a couple of years ago. I had a fair bit of fun trying to get them stopped from extracting money from me. They seemed to have formed the opinion that my money was their's to do with as they pleased. Good luck cancelling - I hope it is less eventful than mine. I cancelled because my wife rang up to book a football match - Premiership Plus. The Asian sounding lad on the other end refuse point blank to deal with a woman. He said he would deal with one of my sons - who were not account holders - but not my wife. I rang up and cancelled when I got home. I was asked if the lad was Asian. I said that my wife had a telephone, not a persicope, but said he sounded to be of Asian extraction. They seemed to know who it was. I have had a number of phone calls begging to part with my money again. I suggested a free year's trial. 3 Months was all they offered. I declined.

For Sporting - you have the ideal - 1/4 and 1/2 - 4 notches and 3. For DTL - 3 in the bottom barrel and 2 in the top (1/2 and 3/4). For Skeet - use 4 notches(top barrel) and no notches(if you have one of these) in the bottom barrel.

Chippy - some class there apart from the last one????:yp:????:yp:?:(

Just sold a gun, but the buyer is not happy
Gordon R replied to dazzyboi's topic in General Shooting Matters
I think you have been more than reasonable, but enough is enough. When anyone starts making threats, I would just stop dealing with them. If he persists - report it to his FLO. -
Problem with the safety?? Vibration making it safe instead of live ??

Someone with a £30k gun would have no advantage over someone buying a Miroku MK38 for under £1k.

I don't see any results.

Tinbum - you throw a large pebble in the water and seem surprised by the ripple. Perhaps you need to calm down. At the end of the saga it will be nice to know if you are an innocent victim or a glory seeker - jury is out. I sincerely hope you are an innocent victim.
-
Weave - in what way would you have "Taken them on"? Can't believe you are serious. Perhaps you should phone your FLO to check whether you will be keeping your cert - especially if he reads these posts.

It's one of the older Franchis. I have had their older autos - not top flight. New Raptors seem okay. I would avoid it - too dear for the model - £200 a bit more realistic.

Get his contact details from Ebay. They usually include a phone number - give him a ring.

Handbags at 10 paces?

Not 100% sure, but they look very similar to the brake piston rewinding cubes:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sealey-3-8-Drive-Bra...1QQcmdZViewItem If not identical, they look easy enough to modify. You could always get the right sized socket and grind the excess away to leave the four prongs. Would take all of 5 minutes.

Shot all of the list, except Hatsan and Webley. Owned a whole lot more, but Remingtons were the best handling - absolutely no doubt.

What make are they? Not had any problem in recent years, but I foolishly bought some Rottweill many years ago. Most mis-shapen shells ever.

I live Bolton. Jay is nearer Blackpool.
