  1. Martin - thanks for that. I know chrome in barrels is a lot tougher than on cars. Hence my reservation.
  2. If you cant get Beretta to repair, you have several options. Get it smoothed out by a gunsmith or have the barrel fine bored. This would remove all imperfections, including the chrome lining, assuming your barrel walls are thick enough - should be. The only reservation with fine boring is the chrome lining. It is straightforward with ordinary barrels, but I am unsure on chrome. http://www.stensby.co.uk/ £50 for one barrel

    Worst Song

Mull of Kintyre. Absolute utter drivel.
  4. Magman - thanks for posting this. My little lad is 6'2" and 16 stone, but I know that feeling.
  5. Sabel and Black Sabel are not Gorasabel. Spanish manufacturer. Decent stuff, but not top flight.
  6. kris has lit the blue touchpaper and retired to a safe distance.
  7. Lad near me had a big Mercedes. B 1 MBO. His girlfriend use to drive round with BIMBO. I assume she was stupid. I saw one in Manchester in Italics. I was parked behind it and could not tell what is was meant to read. I don't understand why they don't just have a sign on the car, saying that some pretentious idiot is driving. We all know that - do they?
  8. Gunsmith in North West does them £50 per barrel and £25 per choke. S/S or O/U with four chokes - £200.
  9. Got two Brownings - Ultra XT and GTi (both Miroku built) and one Miroku MK 38. Excellent guns.
  10. Magman - both my lads were into motocross, youngest Open Seniors, eldest Open Experts - very quick. Eldest broke his back and youngest smashed his leg (12 weeks in plaster) and broke his shoulder - metal plate which popped out through his skin and had to be removed. Both now sadly retired, but walking and in one piece.
  11. Just put a few details on - pasted from Ebay. Quite funny really. I would have liked to have bumped into both and given them a stiff warning on cardboard.
  12. The lad who refused to sell me the motocross bike said he had never listed it. When I phoned him, he claimed that someone had broken into his garage, wheeled his bike outside in daylight, photographed it, put it back in the garage and then listed it on Ebay:- Feedback left by me:- Reply by a****** (20-Apr-05 12:29): Refused to sell me bike.Said he never listed it, despite photos of his bike!! Seller details:- Seller: s****theboss ( 27) No longer a registered user This was his eloquent reply:- "he rang me up i stated it was a mistake put in hes a fool shame to ebbay :muppet" The second involving my son's car:- "car was a cut n shut! very rude seller, stay well clear from this muppet" Buyer: rstroofing (private) No longer a registered user 15-Apr-07 22:46 Follow-up by rstroofing (15-Apr-07 22:49): keeps sending stupid messages saying he is gonna cut my neck!!! nice guy ____________________________________________________________________________ I always wondered whether the second idiot was the first one as both called me a "muppet".
  13. My son sold a car on Ebay, using my account. The "winner" left feedback saying the car was a "cut and shut" and that I had threatened him. The fact was that I was the third person in a row to recieve this treatment. He never conatcted me or the others at all. Just did it for a laugh. Buyer was banned. Some are just kids who are having a laugh, but others don't understand the word "auction". A seller in South Wales refused to sell me the motorbike I had won as he wanted more money. It's a not a bad place - I have mainly bought on Ebay, with a few sales, but there are some true cretins about.
  14. Have you tried Mike Meggison - Kelbrook Shooting Ground. He is the importer and sometimes has secondhand stocks in. http://www.kelbrookshootingschool.co.uk/index.php
  15. Wanted - Trap stock for Miroku MK38 or Browning 325 / 425, XT or GTi. Must be short trigger guard type. Cash waiting.
  16. The legendary Felix Cavaliere. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr9-aIRB86s&...ted&search=
  17. What is barrel length and choke? Is it recoil or gas? Any marks inside barrel / chamber? Thanks.
  18. beerdeor - got a few Japanese cars in the fleet at work. No-one wants to drive them. We've had Nissan and currently Toyotas. You could not give them away. Dreadful ride, wallowy, sluggish, brakes don't inspire confidence. 05 plate is the oldest, so it is not as though they are elderly. Ford or Vauxhall are favoured drives.
  19. Bought an estate 3 months ago after a succession of 4 x 4's - lads have packed in Motocross, so I don't need a tower. Fast enough, 45mpg around town, 50mpg on holiday. Seats could have more lumbar support, but other than that - excellent. Only done 2000 miles, at purchase, now over 6000. Recommended.
  20. Caesar - I am in market for a Remi and live near Bury. Is it the one advertised on here a month ago, that was removed? Any contact details? PM me please if it is the one. Thanks.

    football teams

Leeds United for my sins. Bad times for a once great Team.
  22. Sorry to hear about Webber and glad it wasn't worse.
  23. Police do a job like the rest of us. If people don't like getting caught, they could always obey the law.
  24. Apart from the organisation and the truly dreadful road, my real gripe is the targets. Too many are shot in a small gap and are very slow. It's more like rifle shooting than clays. Too many go into the sun. It lacks imagination.
