  1. They use an hybrid off road bike in an exclusively on road enviroment? Really. My flabber would never have been so ghasted if you can tell me who uses one in the Tour De France.
  2. You have to list it on Gunwatch and it automatically comes through to the sales section here. Theres a sticky at the top of the Private Sales forum that tells you what you have to do HTH
  3. Hi all, what are folks using for degreasing the trigger groups. I have a Maxus and it's cleaning time and I'm wondering what I should do with the trigger group regards degreasing and lubing. Cheers
  4. £100  That is an absolute steal, in fact, it's almost criminal. As far as I've read the SX3 is highly rated and I don't recall reading anything bad of any significance about them thus far. I almost bought one myself but on handling it, it just didn't fit me as well as the Maxus I eventually bought. Check one out, if it feels right you wont go far wrong.
  5. Sounds like the gun for me, my shot never goes where the clay is so maybe if I don't actually shoot where I'm aiming I'd stand a better chance
  6. I took my Maxus from shop to clay ground and fed it 28g loads with no problems. It gets cleaned every outing but will cycle 21g loads with no problems at all.
  7. Shooting them with paintballs...what the hell for, now if they were going to sneak up on them and tickle them I'd approve. Deer tickling...it'll be in the olympics before long mark my words
  8. I've given my details as Micheal Mouse of Disneyland, Florida, before, but if really pressed I give them the name Roy Almail and the address and postcode of the local main post office
  9. Hello fellow Harlower and welcome. I generally use Eastern Sporting in chelmsford for guns and carts, very friendly and helpful and always make time for you. I miss clays a lot with my Maxus over at the White Bear in Ongar every other sunday. Nice gun the Maxus, a very decent semi auto but still a bit pricey secondhand I'd have thought. Where do you shoot? The Hatsan will be more than good enough for clays, just stick to 70mm carts and you should have no problems.
  10. Who cares. I'll be at home with my family and a turkey the size of liechtenstein, what anyone else does is thier business.
  11. I've just shot my way through around 500 Eley Firsts but in plastic flavour. Seemed perfectly ok to me, not too dirty and didn't kick that bad in my Maxus. I've just got hold of Eley Olympics now so we'll see how they compare.
  12. Is this the one about ex sas looking after thier own? I read that years ago iirc, good book I thought.
  13. Tell them you live just up the road in Sandown and when would be suitable to come around and have a look at the puppies? I'm betting they'll give you some old fluff about not being there right now. Try it and post up thier answer
  14. Seen this on another forum and it still reminds me of this old short called 405... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRisXV7xm_c
  15. Not really, what you need is a valid defence in law to have one, that could be airsofter, re-enacter, film maker, maybe even just a collector. It's an offence to sell to a person who doesn't have a defence, hence the reason UKARA was created, but it's not a legal requirement to be UKARA registered at all.
  16. Only used 2 types of shells in my Maxus so far, 28g Eley firsts and 21g Eley firsts, the 28g have cycled without fault thus far and the 21g have been fine since it bedded in. (All in 67 mm length)
  17. Theres also Three acres shooting ground not far from Harlow along the A414.
  18. I've had the same before now, rather than swear at them, which is what I'd end up doing, I just close the door. They tend to get the message then. We have adopted a policy in our household which is... "If they have to ask us, we don't need it..."
  19. Speedload on the Maxus, and other Browning Semis, chambers the first round inserted into the mag automatically. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioSF3B4Y0UM As far as I'm aware, the SX3 does not have this feature.
  20. Thats a very kind and generous offer BB and one I may well take you up on I suspect one go may well be all it amounts to but you never know. Next trip to the clays is 2 weeks time, if nothing pops up before then I'll give you a shout if I may? Cheers.
  21. I'm doing my hallway at the moment. I find I just steam over the outer layer, then peel it off and then steam the paper underneath. It's either that or take off and nuke it from orbit......
  22. Essex and close locales. Looking for a cheapo and lightweight if possible .410 or small gauge for the kids to have a bash with. Probably won't get used after the first go so cheap is the first priority please. Whats out there? Cheers
  23. Got one with mine and I'm sure its extra full. Can't check at the mo as am away, but I'm sure its extra full.
  24. Makes you wonder how they treat the kid. What angers folk is that there just no need for it, don't have the dog in the first place or if it gets too much, take it to a rescue centre. I think it's a terrible shame...a shame he got off so lightly.
