  1. They are a bit pellet fussy, you should get 5.6mm pellets as this is the old style .22 and will not like the new stuff, Eley Wasps are your only choice really. Chiefy
  2. Rained off, do you infer there can be a day where you are that it doesn't rain ? You are very lucky, if it hasn't rained here for an hour we say it's about to rain. Chiefy
  3. I got the M8 box for about £110 with a wireless keyboard remote, got mine from Droidsticks, if you get it from there it has free updates for life. Chiefy
  4. I've got two also a Rdesign XC60 Volvo and a X Trail, both similar spec, both auto diesels, don't care about the mpg as we don't do too many miles. Double cabs are nice to think about but the back bit is a waste, unless you like wet things banging around, a good X Trail should cover most needs off road in fields and more and if you can find a nice Surf than they are good too. 5. lksopener,,,,,,,,,,,,there is no directtv add on, you can just look at their site for details of what shows are being aired on the Pursuit Channel, which you need to click under Phoenix add on, 2041410 Skull, via live TV and live streams etc under Hunting channel then live streams and then Pursuit channel. 6. The answer is in the first topic in this forum. Chiefy
  7. As above, the Parcours is the best thing since Dunlop nordox. Chiefy
  8. I've been watching, duck and Canada shooting, directTV has the program listings up, anything a better than soaps or fieldsports tv. Kodi on your PCs is ok though watching Rogue Nations on 50" is better, all sports channels are there free. Chiefy
  9. Found the Pursuit channel and Hunting channel, wilderness channel also under Phoenix, 2041410 Skull via live TV and live streams. Chiefy
  10. I heard it was a Cormorant you stuffed with a brick marinated with diesel for two days and buried for a week before cooking up. You eat anything when you're hungry. Chiefy
  11. Sounds like my old sbs you have, I bought a sbs with an auto safe as it was a game gun, I took the linkage out to ensure there would be no return to safe when the gun was broke, and still after firing the first shot the safety went back on, put it in to a smith to be repaired and no fault found, any one using the gun found no fault. Apparently my thumb up style was pulling the safety back on, remedy was to cut of my thumb or use a over and under. Chiefy
  12. To me one looks like a Jack Snipe, though its maybe the photo that makes it look smaller. Chiefy
  13. Welcome mate, what paperwork were you waiting on ? Your tag gettin removed to allow you to go shopping,,,,lol Chiefy
  14. Used one about 40 times on a Beretta, I was impressed with the clean until the rope broke at the end of a pull. Ended up with a snake like tampon stuck in the bore, had to get some extra long needle nose pliers to catch the end bit to pull it out. My advice it to go an buy one and suggest to everyone down the Oak they are the best thing since doing things the right way with a rod. Chiefy
  15. Give BlackIslander a call, as far as I know they usually beat anyone, these boots fit true to size for a change and need no breaking in. Chiefy
  16. We have no choice here in the West of Scotland but to arrange and go out, if its dry its a bonus. We had a few dry weeks in September since last October, now its back to the usual rain, drizzle with sun, grey overcast with constant smirr, worst wet year for many years Chiefy
  17. rodP,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what a post,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,made me laugh, sounds like my first attempt, I had to go to three shops till I found Marrows, not a popular item in Scotland, never saw them since so use corgettes. I keep it in those Ikea jars with the seal lid, mine lasts easy two years. Just don't give any away in a moment of weakness. Chiefy
  18. Thanks so much,,,think this is how mother made it all those years ago, though we never used spices in those days in the house just sultanas were added. Chiefy
  19. All the shells I use are Clever Mirage, my local stockist is the Importer so they have everything to hand. I do have some of the felt wad shells left and find them fine with most guns, I do prefer plastic wads though for T2's, mostly I use 30.5 g shells form Clever throughout the year. The T2 28g clay shell is very good, and they even do the same shell in a DTL version with some slight differences. I use both types of clay shells every week with good results. Chiefy
  20. I recently traded in a Silver Pigeon 1 to Continental Shooting Supplies, its had less the 500 shots through it, additional adjustable comb fitted also, unmarked and as new for £1075 on their site. Chiefy
  21. Hopefully so, these birds are in and out every day all year. I've just never went after them, I usually chase the Snipe on the water drenched grass on the moor around this time. Or if I had a spaniel it would be the woodcock. Chiefy
  22. I've never heard of someone trying to bed a cz452. Do not try this, it's so wrong. The gun won't benefit from it, the only advice I can offer is if you use a moderator or a bipod and zero the rifle, leave these items on every time you shoot, changing them or removing them will change the barrel harmonics and zero will change, as will if you change from prone using the bipod to kneeling without it etc. The only thing I would do is lighten the trigger pull, I used to bring in trigger kits from Eric Brooke's from over the pond for this. Barrel length is personal and some versions available in 14", though I preferred a barrel recrowned and threaded to 15" worked best. Chiefy
  23. I'm a bit biased this year as I have bought two new Beretta semis, one an Xplor for every day stuff and the Xtrema for the rain, well I am in the west where it rains nearly every day. The shims can make them left handed though there is one is a true left hand ejector, though to be honest as they as so fast at cycling you won't notice. My housekeeper is so understanding she let me spend all my back pay on a DT 11 and trade in my 682 Gold E, just last month. I would give the beretta a look, I paid £1630 for the Xtrema, new Optifade version, call for best cash prices and get a deal. Tried a couple of hundred 28g clay shells through the 3 1/2" chambered Optifade with no problems straight out the box after a box of 34g run in shells, at my clay ground, I can honestly say it's very good. 24. Maybe if his surname is Scott, there is a farm on the island of inchmurrin, and a pub, they also release some birds from memory, and a nature beach on the north shore. Chiefy
  25. I don't think the midges are that bad, I'm from Balloch and only a few years moved to Glasgow, I've not suffered at all shooting there this year. Chiefy
