  1. I agree with robbiep I bought a ford ranger when it was 6 years old its now 14 years old apart from normal wear and tear-set of tyres, new set ball joints last year plus 2 front drive shaft boots the only big job was new rear spring but it had hauled hell of a lot of ballast 1 ton min plus 72 concrete blocks from time to time not to mention 240 concrete roofing tiles so spring took a hammering but engine still sweet as a nut and only fitted 1 new battery as well. I was lucky hope you are with what ever you buy.

  10. Well I dont know the model but it states 'THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS Co Ltd-ENGLAND' on top of barrel above the forearm. On one side of the breech it has BSA with 3 rifles above and on the other side it has SINGLE-X11 no other model names on it the only other thing is the forearm is held on by a screw not a clip.
  11. Way back in the 70s I was looking at a Greener under lever martini action single 12 bore in gunsmiths in Lymington Hants I wanted it but the man behind the counter at Greenfields a gunsmiths in Ringwood put me off saying its a good gun but way over priced and would cost a lot to put right if it went wrong so I never did get it but had a Russia single like a Baikal made like a tank never let me down and still in the cabinet I also have a single BSA semi hammer ejector and agree uncocking in cold or damp weather not idea, but god does that thing kill at a distance 32" 3/4 choke barrel duck gun.
  12. If anyone got an unused adjustable recoil pad and looking to off load it please message me with price including p&p as I am looking for one give the forum a chance before I go to Ebay.
  13. Thanks Gordon R will look into that. Willpoon I have thought of that and I was going to (once I fitted pad how I wanted) make a template to show where I want the pad and if my lads use the gun it will only be when I am not there at clay ground. But as gordon said for less than £20 I have not made the gun unsuitable to my lads to use if I get another one that fits me better they can have the 1st gun.
  14. I want to alter the toe of my shotgun so as to suit me. I contacted local gunsmiths and they want £120 + vat to do it. I didnt say I'm a leftie and my sons are right handed so I was now thinking of fitting an adjustable pad to make the gun straight (as poss) stock for me and then the lads can alter it if they use the gun. Any comments or ideas welcome as to what to do or use and where to get it.

As for the shot guns if you have a word with the police they be ok as when my father was alive I asked if I could put his guns on my ticket to save problems when the sad day comes and they were very helpful and also after he passed away as the guns on my cert just had to move cabinet and they came and looked job was a good'n no problems at all.
