  1. Years ago we had dogs and if my parents went away on holiday I was at work I use to leave to dog out all day as we had large secure garden and the dog had a back porch to shelter in and several large bowels of water and food they seemed fine and guess what no one snooped about either.
  2. No problem seems like a plan that will work. I have a copy of a reloading book in pdf format if its not in your collection perhaps I might be able to add it. The book is 'Reloading for Shotgunners 5th Edition by Ric Sapp'. Sorry must be Christmas as you already got it.
  3. thats a steal shame I have one already
  4. Please add me to the list as I am just starting out on the reloading scene need as much help as possible. I pm my email address many thanks in advance. Regards John
  5. I have one and it is like a daystate but it is very quiet with the shroulded barrel and moderator and with me being a leftie very easy to convert to either hand.
  6. Fair play to him but I was thinking pepper corns instead of rock salt not want the risk of salt causing the inners of the barrel rusting lol. I have a 10 bore single muzzle loader, load it up with tin tacks that should slow them down.
  7. To be fair I was told that our county Hampshire has new leader as last time I renewed it was months before I will recieved my renewal. But I agree online or fax adding a gun so much easier.
  8. My late uncle started with 12 bore but as he got older he used a 20 bore and he stated the same as some on here the 20 bore has same powder charge as 12 bore just slightly less shot and with the 3" chamber its just as powerful as a 2 3/4" chamber 12 bore he use to say. He had a 16 bore as well which I have in cabinet at moment which I am most careful off regarding cartridges as I have 12 bores as well, so easy to drop 16 bore cartridge into 12 bore then drop 12 bore cartridge on top then look out you be lucky if you not disfigured for life if fired.
  9. RWS LR20 universal bolt can be switched from right to left in a moment
  10. For smoking fish over an open fire
  11. On my Ford Ranger the lighter stopped working took it out and found a fuse built in the lighter non resetting item so I soldered a link over it and it works. I think it is so that you do not over load the line with items drawing power form the circuit.
  12. You will need good ear defenders and a good gun cleaning kit. LOL
  13. Same your not closer as I would be tempted to have this
  14. When my late father died I contacted the police and told them that I was moving the cabinet and guns as they were on both of our tickets ready for such problem when it arised and they were very understanding rang me one evening asking if they could come and inspect the cabinet in its new position in our home. Came checked it was fixed firmly and jobs a good'n. Have not seen them since even when I had ticket renewed.
  15. I bought a second hand Ranger 7yrs ago its a W reg and it has given me no problems at all. All I have done is service ever year and just lately odds and sod gone wrong eg all 4 front ball joints replaced, 2 front drive shaft gators and the biggest job new rear leaf spring after a leaf broke. Also change of tyres etc. This truck has hauled chipboard and plywood both 20mm thick and a full load at that also 1000 kg of ballast and 72 concrete blocks the 7N ones not light weight thermo ones. Takes it all in its stride best buy I ever made in the transport dept.
  16. Have a look at Folkestone Engineering Supplies 62 Canterbury Road Hawkinge Kent. CT18 7BP
  17. Now just a thought as I have in my gun cabinent a Italian .410 which has been in the family from new as I was there with my uncle as a young lad when he bought it and it did not come to light until it came onto my ticket that the barrel number was different from the breech. The feo said that it must of had new barrel but I said no I know where the gun has been since new and has never been in for any repair. So my point being is your numbers the same on barrel and breech if not has a another gun makers barrel been fitted to it. Just a thought.
  18. Our house had this problem then I bought 2 wooden loo seats from B&Q and they have lasted 4+ years as I broke 1 seat when I had my ankle in plaster and was not allowed to put any weight on it for 3 months so had to try and lower my self down on 1 leg not easy as after a certain point gravity takes over and you land with a bump side ways. Plus the boys grown up and have a better aim as urine very acidy and rots metal.
  19. I agree what's wrong with the gun you are use too, also if you spend a fortune and then miss every shot or even drop or damage a gun that cost a arm and a leg.
  20. I had a person next door to me a few years ago who had his own small garage done mots etc but this was before you could get the all singing and dancing fault readers and only main dearers had the machines to plug in and I had a fault on a Astra he told me to check every electronic connection I could and see if that fixed it as he hated paying £60 to main dealer to be told it was corrostion on a terminal eg oxidization causing a low reading and he was right this time found a furred up push on connection to the water temp sensor.
  21. Here in Hampshire I do know that a person I know was on anti depressants for a while and when reapplying for his SGC he did not put down that he had been on them he had hell of a job getting his SGC renewed but it was in the end so the police must of contacted his GP or they would never of know.
