After rain stopped play on Wednesday night spent last night from 8 till 1 chasing foxes all over Somerset. The fields were doing the best impression of the somme it was wet everywhere. Some of the gates were nearly over the top of my wellies. We walked miles and saw maybe four fox. Spotted one in a corner and had we shot as it went in a large arc around us. Of to the next field and it nearly gave a shot as it trotted through a gate. There was three of us out and it was difficult to move quietly. We went back to where we had started and a deer carcas had been left earlier in the day and spotted one on a bank. Jobs a good one I think but it wont play and vanishes into the undergrowth. I get home about 0200 and make tea. All week the bait in my garden has been taken and I have been staying up till midnight without any luck I decided to set up in the window whilst I caught up on the PW posts. Saw a couple of badgers for the first time bimbling about on the hill. Nothing to shoot until I decided to call it a night at 0300 and went to collect the rifle. One last look through the NV and spotted what looked like part of the tree sticking out from the trunk. Zoomed in and what looked like a branch moved it was the tail of a fox further up the field eating the bait but it was covered by the trunk of the tree. I waited maybe 10 minutes the tail went down and the fox walked to the side and sat down licking its lips. Took it through the bib at about 80m (girly rifle) and it dropped on the spot. Very impressed with this HMR. Was hoping to sleep a little later but my dog had different ideas.

I fired a 9mm smg at a milk bottle and saw the rounds ricochet off leaving the bottle in one piece. Not what I expected at 10m. It could be I missed the bottle but i don't think so.

We go most years to Slovakia to ski in the Tatras, slopes are quiet. Probably not as manicured as some may be used to but quite a good selection.. Fly to Krakow (PL) and drive over the mountains. Keep all our gear at the inlaws and stay with them. Car hire if we have to pay is about £100 a week. Ski pass about 125 euro, Its great and manage to do a bit of ski alp and cross country too. Down side is the apres ski is all with the reli's and my knowledge of the language makes it hard work. Skiing is fun but naked spa is my favourite

Looking good. Looking really good. Final leg now. -
Welcome. Can you get rifles? Would have thought the dunes were good for a bit of target shooting?

I heard you can put it in the freezer (take it out the car first) then you can enter a new code.

That's just horrible

If its harder to import then we will rely more on local produce. If the local market can't stand higher prices then the price will come down? If we have wider trade agreements we will surely be taking more food stuffs from outside the EU further pushing on prices? When we buy lamb or beef from outside of the EU does the product have tariff attached? I posted earlier that the Brexit negotiators are saying that a pork carcass can have over 30 different tariffs applied to it depending on how its cut and jointed.

Over 8 weeks under existing system you would work 32 times. Under new system in 8 weeks you would work 28 times. I think that makes a reduction of half a shift a week.

You would be right on the wealth part . My point is that if we don't maintain the masses they will redistribute the wealth for us. Either in our own country or globaly with the rise and fall of nations. What we are seeing with the Brexit and Trump vote is protest against the status quo brought about by the slow decline of the leading nations as others come forward with growth.

+1 live and let live.

Got any proof of that??? I don't make anything then anything goes wrong I can blame someone else

Its simply untrue that terrorists come from a relevant background. Whilst its true to say that these or any individuals could be involved to look closely at a particular group because of origin is not productive. See this. I agree on ensuring that wealth is distributed more evenly. The Romans threw out bread. The EU also tries a similar tactic of spreading wealth but we voted against that also.

Unfortunately the pace of change has left a majority struggling to keep up and there are lessons here about leaving large elements of society marginalised. Recent decisions will not change the course or direction of globalisation we just have to find ways to get the majority up to speed.

I guess the person appointed got the job because she had experience and knowledge. She used her experience and knowledge of the law to make a decision and got sacked. Sounds like a dictatorship approach to me. Don't feel sorry, many people struggle with the speed of change and globalisation. Fortunately its done the UK well so far.

Surely its the rule of law and democracy (with the exception of a few wars that we engage in, and a bit of water boarding. oh and Guantanomo) that set us apart from the rest. If only we (the West) could stick to it I think that if DT could have a more rational approach he could achieve more results. What he is doing now will sadly cost lives.

Taking in the advice and hints , but I think you are shooting so many that none are getting south of the midlands.

I was sitting chatting on PW with the log burner on looking out every 20 mins or so. Too wet to go outside. Civilised fox shooting dont you know? I have a neat little set up with the bait tree at about 60m behind the kitchen window. The NV (now i know how to adjust it) gives me about 300m of vision. I cant shoot to the left as there is a house over the back and the window works as a barrier in case i get carried away. All sussed just need the RSPCA to be more regular with the drop offs. Last fri was out in the rain looking over a few farms but it was not fun. Bagged a couple of rabbits but that was all. Out again Wednesday night weather looks better.

We would go bankrupt within a month. I think we can take this approach with the City where EU is dependent.

Lack of pigeons and the skills of PC gets in my way for big bags. Well done PC another excellent result. You may need to get some 3rd party verification in the light of some of the photo threads on here seriously well done. Do you give lessons?

Its a matter of law and constitution. Look out for the writs that will be flying next.
