Thanks for comments. It fits to the end of the scope so no affect on zero. I sometimes swap between air rifle for rats in chicken house, Hmr for fox and FAC air for rabbits all in the same evening. I think if memory is correct it cost me £280. I did buy a couple of extra weaver rail adaptors one for each scope.

I bought one of the NV rigs from Dave back in July. I have used it on a CZ .22 and now on my Weihrauch HMR. The rig has a Black Sun Torch and KPC E700 and mounts the screen and torch with a scope weaver rail adaptor and a Screw on fitting for the Camera to the rear of the scope. The housing looks to be made of a project box with tight fitting 5 inch screen and custom made scope tube and screw fitting. The unit is very easy to mount and on some occasions I have swapped it between three rifles in the same evening session. I have two different ring mounts for the different diameter scopes. Interestingly the one that fits the 38mm scope is easier to fit than the 40mm fitting which I would think is a maximum size for this rig. Picture clarity of both the target and the reticle is very good although as the screen is close I have to wear my reading glasses . The first thing to say is what a solid and well made piece of kit it is. I had made my own previously with bits from e bay for £50. Whilst it worked out to 50m it was always a bit of a rickety affair and i needed something that I could rely on in the field and that could be easily switched between rifles. The system works well out to about 100m with the torch, but on some nights where there is a decent moon (Last night) the camera is good for 300m+, and I would be happy taking a shot without the torch if my rifle would extend that far. The batteries are 3 x 18650 3000mAh from Torchy boy so good quality power units. It tips the scales at 915 grams all up with the batteries which has to be considered if you are moving about a bit during shooting. Whilst the rifle is balanced fore and aft it does make it a little top heavy so greater care has to be taken when mounting it on sticks. All in all a good well made piece of kit. Whats the attractor? Is it a home made version? After taking the fox off the bate on Wednesday night, I noticed some more had been taken Thursday night. Sat up again last night and had this very mangy vixen. It came in at 0200 so may need some extra sleep this afternoon. Another for the Dave G NV on the HMR. She looks in very poor condition. Can my dog catch mange off the foxes? I have put it at the top of the field in scrub with the last one but and try to keep the dog off it. If its catching I may have to put it over the hedge.

The NHS is and must be doomed to fail as a concept. As we develop more and more treatments our ability to keep people alive longer increases. As we get more and more people getting more treatments it will get exponentially expensive as we all expect to have that life saving treatment. Add that to a nanny state that tries to reduce smoking, speeding, drink and drugs and you get an ever greater population using the service. As we get greater global competition our place at the top of the world order will gradually diminish as we loose out to international competition and we will have to accept a reducing (diluted) level of economic activity. How can we hope to feed the lifestyle and dreams of a health service free for all?

Well done on the fox and Sika. I need to agree targets with Bumpy . 76 seems to be a popular number around here. Went out on the foxes last week saw a few but nothing was playing ball. Deer stalking on Sunday in the fog was not good. Caught three Doe's at about 80 yards but they were sky lined so had to just stand and watch for about an hour. When they eventually crossed the ridge and we could move under the hill they had vanished. Bumped another about an hour later but it did not stop. Struggling to see them with the poor vis before they saw us. Fox from the kitchen window last night (1250 did not even wake the wife) to open this years activity. Now where is that tape measure.

Out last week with Bumpy22 off here for an eventful walk round. Rescuing a ewe with its head stuck in a fence, another stuck down a hole in the ground we are now the farmers best friends Managed to shoot a decent bag too. Out today early on the decoys and then back home to take the dog for a walk about and managed a couple of partridge and this group.

Does my head in the extortionate cost of expensive make, manufacturer fit, watch batteries and cleaning. I have had three Citizen dive watches and each and every one of them has played up when diving. All have been for service and batteries and cleaning for hundreds of pounds. I don't believe that the quality justifies the cost.

+1 Plastic wads are also apparently a hazard to livestock. Whilst no farm i shoot on has asked for it, I only shoot fibre as part of my pest control offer. Not sure that they degrade any quicker, though?

It surprises me, given the strong support for Brexit, that the PW rabble ( ) are not strongly supporting and encouraging Scotland to do the same with the Union. Long may they stay part of it is my view. Strangely enough many of the great 'British' ideas inventions and strengths come from the Scot's.

I looked to buy it in Czech but it was not much different with teh exchange rate and I thought if it goes wrong (i hope unlikely) I can take it back easily.

They better be good I have bought the R1 3-12 x 56rd to go with Hexalock mounts. I don't get it till rifle arrives in Feb (fingers crossed).
