Not long barreled pistols as i belive you can only get semi auto in .22lr but i could be wrong. I m talking about things that would be section 5 normally but held on a S1 ticket. Still not the point, the point is untill there is a system in place that gives one set of rules and stops police forces and gun owner in some cases interpreting as the want we will alwas be in the OPs position were some one said such and such is banned / going to be banned or this is illegal thats illegal. How many people would know where to look to find out the law on using a shotgun near a road? It all needs to be in one set of rules/ law.
-
I know a few people that have semi auto hand gums on their FAC a couple of 9mm (with moderators) a 380 and 3 or4 .32acp. because they have shown they have a good reason to have them. So not banned, very much restricted but not banned or at least not in all county's. The point is different forces can and do interpret and apply the law / rules in different ways.
-
No they are not, semi autos are restricted not banned! I know a few people with them. The only question (not that I asked it) is how can the law be enforced differently around the country?
-
Lets just say its a self loading firearm that isn't a .22 Mine is ok, its the one next door that is the making up the rules (or maybe not) but thats not a problem to me just a sign that not all police forces are not interpreting the rules in the same way.

Sussex give you a 2 month extension as soon as you put you're renewal in! I put mine in in May my ticket runs out end of October extension takes it to Christmas.
-
Would rather not say but how can something be ok in one county but not the next and yet I can and do travel to that county with it and use it!
-
One problem is that different forces make up there own rules, If I lived just 20 mile down the road in the next county I couldn't have some of the things I have got.
-
It wouldn't be so bad if they called it what it is, a bribe!
-
Trouble is you probably won't be able to leave a gun with them
-
It looks like all police forces are about the same now, makes you think it could be deliberate attempt to get people to give up on the idea of having firearms

I always have my fac and sgc with me at work, but fully expect to sped time in the cells if stopped by the old bill during the day. If I my certificates with their bosses signature on them what more can i do!?
