Call it what you like! Holly, cut in October, stripped and thinned down with block plane and spokeshave, then left to air dry in a cool room. Weight monitored weekly, and brought into a warmer room as the weight loss levelled out. R1100GS - lovely bike (the origin of my user id). Comfortable all day, surprisingly quick at covering distance, capable of going off road if you're man enough, and yes, you can get the pegs down with practice. Wrote it off when someone did a U turn in front of me. Wrote the car off as well... Haven't even sat on a motorbike since.
