Well that's my first season done, ......does it always feel this bad waiting for September or does it get better in time ?

First season for me and thoroughly enjoyed it, can't remember how many flights but average 4-5 mornings a week, had plenty of duck but a lot more blanks, always seem to be in wrong place for the geese(missed a good few when I was in right place too).. Ended the season with a week in wigtown... Amazed at amount of geese, spectacular at daw but also peed off at the ****,s that shoot at sky high birds... Managed to bag two so ended happily... Looking forward to September

How Did You Get On Today (For Those Who Went Shooting)
Smiler23 replied to marsh man's topic in Wildfowling
Had a cold morning out yesterday, plenty about but not within my range, had 5 chancy shots at widgeon, missed them all, so ended with a blank. Then out on a different spot this morning, good few hundred pintail moving about none came anywhere near ,didn't get a shot so blanked again, hopefully better luck tomorrow... Still nice being out -
Hahaha, I could just do with a pizza now.... I'll be gettin some of them cartridge ordered, that's cheap, if I'm going to miss geese May as well do it cheaply hahaha

I'm lucky enough to have different marshes with in a few mile of home, so go when ever, I'm self employed so do work around shooting, wildfowling fits into my life very easily, can go at the drop of hat.
