I use stocking foot waders … typically breathable…. Again .. more time spent walking than shooting!! Advantages are that they’re lightweight, easy to walk in, and the boots tend to be far more robust than any that are ‘attached’ to the waders. Leaks come, but can be fixed relatively easily… until they’re completely knackered. If you have to go neoprene, then Snowbee isn’t a bad place to start.

I’m also a convert to these … not the trendiest look! BUT keeping the blood on the back of your hand toasty seems to do the trick, and no real loss in dexterity 👍

I doubt their decibel reduction properties.

Refunds , Or Lack Of Refunds On Cancelled Shoot Days
Smokersmith replied to marsh man's topic in Stalking & Game Shooting
Many of the folks who are spending ‘000’s on shoot days will have them insured. Makes sense to me unless you can afford to lose it! -
Looking for a 1/2 or 3/8ths A long shot, but pm me if you have anything 👍

Taking a Shotgun on a P&O ferry to Netherlands
Smokersmith replied to Smokersmith's topic in General Shooting Matters
Thanks … and your advice above is 100% in line with what’s needed. I basically need to book with P&O by phone, and give the required details … and hand my car keys over when I board. In NL I need a consent form, which I can fill in online and send (circa a week for approval). The success means I can still get my day in Yorkshire shooting on the Monday and manage to be at a business meeting in Limburg the following day … win-win !! -
When you’ve picked it … use it in a Reuben sandwich … The best sandwich I’ve ever had.

Businesses want good employees … I’d give negotiation a try …

Some businesses have the ‘revert to SSP’ in the policy, but in practice they look after good folks and pay full whack if they get genuinely I’ll. May be worth going in with it as a negotiating point … perhaps nothing to lose? You could also consider an income insurance policy in case you get sick.

Seen some nice bunches of Golden Plover in the Fens … always a sign.

They’re doing something very special … Wiegman is truly gifted and it’s a match made in heaven. Let’s hope they’ve another result in them … Spain will not look forward to playing us.
