  1. You would be better off selling the magazines for £25 each and put the rifle through an auction with one magazine, seeing it still has the original open sights and case deflector fitted to the breach slide. This is a bargain for someone. It should cycle Winchester subs, either needs a good de-coke or magazine lips need a tweak.
  2. I've got a field full that's in flower already.........Looks out of place, makes you do a double take.
  3. I use these. I've got a set of these plus short ones. I use them in engine building
  4. Beretta's have had stock issues in the past on SO3 & SO4's, not a lot of wood around the top strap area !! Don't slam them shut !
  5. Does this mean I don't need car, motor cycle, travel insurance etc etc.....................Not to worry officer I've got house hold insurance I'm sure that will cover me for anything !!!
  6. You may find some on here or a similar site. www.modelfixings.co.uk
  7. Fibre wad and Plas wad cartridges will give different results.
  8. Due to the fact you need to be able to mount the unit on various rifles and you don't like the screen view because it destroys your eyes at night. You only have one option and that is a Ward. The better the IR, whether its a Night Master or one of Clive Wards the clearer the picture and the better the range of the unit. Do not buy a Night Master Atom NV unit.
  9. At this stage you would be better sticking some jump leads or a boost pack on it as apposed to lashing out and buying a battery for it.
  10. I don't know about" throwing a bit of paint at it." I think you'll have carbs off it first along with changing the inlet rubbers, jets, diaphragms etc etc. It will keep you occupied through the winter and next years as well !!!
  11. Suzuki do the LTZ50 (bit small for him) LTZ90 will be ok for a few years until he out grows it LT250 Bit big for a 9 year old and could end up in trouble (A&E) trying to control it. All the above are two wheel drive and they all hold their second-hand values very well because of the reliability.
  12. You would be correct with your line of thought if you were on a early morning goose flight on the stubbles or grass, but it doesn't work like that with pigeons.
  13. Yes they are excellent. I use one on my Pulsar so when Im experimenting with different IR torches so I can record the differences in performance. If you go on YouTube there is a lot of footage on there of them being used, Just type in Yukon MPR.
  14. Its a bit of an awkward situation with low value guns, because the dealer would probably just put them through a local auction like http://www.dickinsauctioneers.com/ he would have to then pay the commission and any fees. If the dealer retails the gun he then has to sell it with warranty on it to cover his ****. Its a bit like asking a car dealer to buy a 20 year old Metro or Punto off you, why would he want it in stock. The dealer is only offering what the thing cost new. i.e. my first gun an AYA Yeoman S/S was £49 brand new I wouldn't expect a dealer to give me £150 for it now. I've got a couple of low value guns that I will need too move on at some stage, and I will probably put them through an auction, there is no comeback then.
  15. You've been Doug'ed !!!!!
  16. Which county is the shop in.....Oxfordshire
  17. I've got the AA s400 in .177 for field target shooting and the AA s510 extra .22 for vermin- mainly rats inside buildings. Both are good at what they do. The initial outlay for the rifle, scope and dive bottle is high, but they do retain their value.
  18. Best of luck with your search for a genuine Simmons. I purchased one in the late 1970's and they have been copied ever since. The copies are ****, I know because I purchased one as I thought it would be good to have two identical scopes on rifles The genuine ones have slotted coin adjusting turrets where's the copies have finger operated turret adjusters. Just ask the sellers for a photo of the turret adjusters, to see if its an original or not Your Hawke is a good scope, I know I've got one, a bit heavy compared to some scopes but its still a very good scope for the money.
  19. I live near, but I do have 700 acres of shooting there though. They love me at Chequers they keep sending out the specials in the Landy whenever I'm out decoying, using NV opposite the main entrance on the lambing fields gets interesting, they just watch me from the gate !!!!. It all gets very hot when the PM is in with some foreign dignitaries though.
  20. surely its easier and cheaper to go through a credit agency to get rid of the CCJ history, than it is to pay double stamp duty on a purchase. If you want to help you would be better off stumping up the deposit on the purchase of a new build property on The Help To Buy Scheme before the scheme stops. If you find a good mortgage broker they can arrange a mortgage with NO extra charges as soon as the CCJ history is removed. Once they've purchased the property you can always use some more of your capital to pay off the 20% Help To Buy balance for them before interest gets added to it year on year. Because of your financial involvement you will need a solicitor to draw up a deed so that all monetary splits are in black and white just in case your daughters partner is under the illusion that he is entitled to 50% of the value of the property when the relationship all goes down the pan in a few years time. I'm only speaking from experience here. I tried your rent free version some fifteen years ago and it got very messy !!!
  21. If it makes you feel better some years ago I purchased a Priestman Crawler dragline crane with a 60 foot mast on a whim, After a reality check I just hired in 360 diggers with operators as I needed them. I did manage to sell the crane to an enthusiast from the NE for a profit some years later. As for your bus leave it in standard trim and sell it on to a bus enthusiast or ship to West Africa where they use all our ex public service vehicles
  22. Wife and Daughter went today, they had a great time. The Countryside Alliance have a stand there, so at least someone is batting for the same side as us.
  23. Same here, you just know its all going to kick off in 3 weeks time all at once, as soon as the moisture levels stabilize for a couple of days.
