  1. Just finished my hide seat. Its taken a little while on and off but hopefully it Will get its first trial run soon!
  2. I grew up in the Ludlow area. Would be a fantastic place to shoot, i wish I was still there to join you!
  3. Maybe look for a second hand ATA. it was a high selling gun last year so probably plenty around and them best of both worlds if you can pick it up at £300?
  4. I have access to both of these guns so I can give you some opinions, I like both these guns in different ways and a lot depends on personal preference and what you use it for. Remember the 828u is primarily a field gun but my wife has one for clays as the weight of many sporters was a problem and the adjustability is useful. I use it for game as the light weight makes it very easy to handle. It is very light ~6.5 lb I think in 30 inch (best option I think) but handles quite nicely when you get used to the weight. I have shot many 32g 5's on a day and with thicker clothing in winter is not a problem but you have to hold on to it properly. For clays 100 + 28g is possible but can beat you up a bit, pick a soft 21 or 24g though and its fine, the recoil system actually works but you have to remember its a light gun and physics is physics. We have had no issues with the gun, I know people that use it as a clay gun and have not had issues but I hear from gunshops that they have had to fix some.... I would say the way it works is quite clever and feel is good but it doesn't feel super solid and have a super satisfying feel as it closes. My FIL has an F16 which I really enjoy shooting and get on with much better than a 725 he had before. It feels very natural to shoot with the low receiver and I would say the slightly lighter than average weight makes it a good all rounder for clays and the field if the looks work for you. my observations are that the bottom barrel can be a pain to load due to the very low action, you have to fully break the barrels to get the bottom cartridge in, this seems to get me every time and never happens with other guns. Also I would say for a relatively new gun ( 2.5 years) it already feels worn in (looseish), i'm not sure if this is god or bad but time will tell, exterior finish is also showing some wear. I hope thats helpful
  5. Aspen all the way. Just take a trip to the tip in the spring when the grass just starts to grow and see all of the almost new garden tools being thrown becausr they had old fuel left in them. I have bought many petrol tools not working for next to nothing, cleaned the carb and replaced perished diaphragms and have been running for years on aspen, never tried going back to pump fuel, why would you unlessbyou are a pro. Stinks, goes bad and ends up causing time wasting issues with small engines if you dont use them often.
  6. I have a wood stocked cynergy that i have shot very well with at times. I also think it woukd take a lot of use to wear one out if its looked after. I would say they are an excellent gun but they are not like anything else. I can get very good and used to the gun but when you pick up a "normal" gun it feels very odd. Probably due to the cynergy being quite barrel heavy.
  7. I've got an R10 mkII with a big buddy bottle. Pumping to 150 bar is not harder then inflating a bike tyre, 175 takes a little effort and is best done when its cool, getting to 200 - 230 really takes a bit of effort and technique. I can do it without too much bother but its much easier to just pump to around 175. Thats still around 100 shots so plenty, the smaller the bottle the less pumps it takes to get to higher pressure so not too hard but actually a bigger bottle is better and just dont worry about getting to max pressure, then its very easy.
  8. Hi, I have a long 54 inch Benelli shotgun slip the same as this one: http://www.thecountryman.com/benelli-shotgun-slip-brown I don't know if it was a joke, but I got it from a gun shop when I bought a Benelli 828u. It is far too long for this gun and has therefore only be used twice and is in excellent condition. I expect this is designed for long barrel semi autos or very long o/u. I have some pictures if you want send me a message an I will email them to you. As it was £50 new I'm looking for £30 postage included. Thanks, Alex
