  1. Cheers I had thought if I was to find a good one it might be worth fitting a 2 inch lift kit & some capable tyres onto it Cheers for the heads up I had wondered this as there isn't a selector for 2wd 4wd 4wl. We're the later ones a constant awd set up?
  2. Anyone had much experience with the above vehicles i often toy with the idea of getting a small 4x4 two seater size for shooting/fishing/dog walking and general day to day stuff. I've always looked at the suzuki jimnys but the prices they demand vs how much they rust has always put me off I know there brillant for what they are but it made me wonder how good are the toyota rav 4s. Anyone had one for the above usage & how did you find it? Cheers
  3. Ebay could make a nice profit on them 👍
  4. Billy bargain for someone will just put the classic post of * just to far for me * (243 miles one way ) for me
  5. Never fired any myself but from what I can remember when they came out weren't the zeniths copper coated or contained copper & were at the time of launch used a lot on grouse & partridge?
  6. Will do I honestly couldn't tell you what type it was an old boy who turns wood came across when we were bringing it down enquiring about it but after seeing it said it was no good for turning if that helps at all?? I better get my **** in gear & get it chopped up & drying don't mind if it burns quicker then most there is plenty to go at with this & the next one coming down cheers for the reply
  7. Morning chaps some of you more experienced wood burners might be able to help on this one. I've recently cut down a conifer tree for a friend & I've another one to follow shortly just wondering. Does the wood once fully dried out burn well in a log burner or is it not worth bothering with I believe it can hold a lot of sap which can cause problems in the stove? Any advice welcome Cheers
  8. Might be worth entering into a auction as a few places in my area (NW England) can't get hold of the rounds/cartridge anymore.
  9. As above when I started working in a similar field I went down the very expensive rabbit hole of snap on tools. The ratchets , sockets , extension bars etc are well worth the money because of the lifetime guarantee. Snap on's budget brand so to speak is blue point which is very good value for money .Other brands are just as good if not better facom , wera , I believe milwaukee actually made the impact guns for snap on for a while but were some £200 dearer then milwaukee once they had stuck there name on the side of the same product. I've attached a link below to a website I used when getting started Worth looking on ebay as well for the snap on cab boxes etc can get some bargains https://www.primetools.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4uaUBhC8ARIsANUuDjVCoXwEyB0RzSgssBJiSfx-jGKxA5alv7N72PmKrRGf4aV5dDOGj9QaAlmMEALw_wcB

  13. They are ok for job but dont last long & if you are on uneven ground a bit rocky. You could make your own out of the taller blue drums paint it & be able to carry more decoying gear in it.
  14. There was a complete set up on ebay the other day can't remember the location but worth a look.
  15. I went pigeon shooting last year with a chap who had a full set of pinewood poles believe he got them years & years ago I was very impressed with the quality & how well they have aged/lasted but as above I've never been able to find any of the orginal ones for sale. All the modern stuff now is rubbish I've gone through two sets of the night hawk/jack pyke stuff
  16. Update pictures full size of gun , general condition, spec , fixed choke multi choke, length of pull its looks to be a stunning winchester should sell itself with more pics & info
  17. I've lived in Stockport ( South Manchester) my whole life & I avoid driving in the city centre like the plague one way systems , no right turns , bus lanes cameras, roads dug up , terrible parking, parking wardens on you like a pigeon on a pasty. When I do have to go in its normally a train job & I'm still not keen then.
  18. Wouldn't it be easier to pick up another 101 & just keep it for spares if the above was to ever happen?
  19. If you have the time stick it on Ebay pigeon decoying/shooting gear seems to be doing rather well on there at the moment. 👍

  21. Seems to be a gas supply problem I went to get a bottle of calor patio gas last weekend tried b&m they said they no longer deal with calor gas but instead stock flogas only. Tried a morrisons managed to get the calor patio gas I was after but the lady working there said calor gas are a nightmare to deal with & she has been after propane for over six weeks & they still haven't sent any.
  22. Hide building has never been my strong point I'm normally to eager to get set up & shooting! The first picture is set up in a ditch/drain I use a fishing umbrella to cover the back of the hide with camo netting over it & then just a net & poles to cover the front. The second picture the hide is probably too big accommodating two shooters & dogs & far to much stuff as usual it could of done with adding some foliage & grass to it
  23. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185351455467?hash=item2b27cec2eb:g:Fb4AAOSwaFViOLqh https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185351460189?hash=item2b27ced55d:g:NIEAAOSwUjtiOL4d Spotted these this morning on my ebay saved searches if any good
