  1. My pal has one ( he got an Outlander PHEV from a Shogun and traded it in as thought it was less than poor ) and so far happy enough although he never goes offroad nor tows anything
  2. Have you seen the price of stepladders lately!! Think I might just keep it for holding coffee and wine cos I'm still getting over how much it cost some 4 years ago ( £1k give or take but it did come with 2 big chairs and comfy cushions ) this year she got 40 mixed daffodil bulbs for her birthday because the price of steel carts have gone stupid 'and I need them'
  3. That looks like it, but the crack is on the edge of the table top not the leg
  4. Looking for some advice please, below is a pic of a metal ( don't know what kind of metal it is ) outdoor coffee table which has cracked after I used it as a hop-up Mrs now unamused but dunno what to use to repair it Any ideas welcome Thanks
  5. I tell people roughly the same as you and the younger ones think I'm stupid until I ask them. . . . how high is that tree - to which they ain't got a clue!

Thought I was the only one who still had rubber ones but yet after all the mocking when I bring them out they still work
  8. Thought I'd better share this as after 40 years of shooting it's a first for me. . . . # Columba palumbus ringed Was obviously out shooting and had dropped a few birds and there was a pause of new birds so sent the dog on his merry way to the marks and sure enough everything going good until he arrived with a bird in his mouth and on its leg was a ring ----- O darn I thought! Took the bird and had instinctively thought I'd shot a racer by mistake until I realised it was actually a woody I got home and contacted the National Museum in London as per ring instructions and filled out the form and sure enough I got confirmation though to say it was found 16km away from the ringing site after flying about for 413 days until it's untimely demise I've seen ringed wild ducks and geese but never knew they did woodpigeon, dunno if anyone here have shot one but certainly a first for me
  9. There is a subtle difference between women and dogs tho. . . . . . if you leave a dog in the boot of your car for an hour it's still happy to see you
  10. Ummmm, fair play sir your exonerated on your merits but everyday is a school day so always keep some value fizz in the beer fridge for such occasions or when those guests arrive who you don't want to open the LP for but have to open something
  11. No, no, no dear chap. . . . bin the tonic and add some fizz, you don't want to be adding anything that's non alcoholic IMHO
  12. Just as a curve ball, it's not unheard of for them to be stolen

Think you should cut your expectations unless you have health problems because I don't think it's enough once you deduct inflation; please don't shoot the postman

The problem with the answers are your asking what we would do with £75k thus we don't know if that's all you have nor do you know if we have more than £75k top all this with how old you are and what you want to do with the rest of your life. There are many many things you can do but unfortunately you need to give up more information to get an accurate answer
  16. Buy the promotion packs as they are the best in order to get you hooked on their brand
  17. There is an infamous film called 'Finding Forrester' staring Sean Connery It may take some of our members a few viewings and time to absorb the content, but one of the punchy lines from the great man goes like this. . . . Writers write so readers can read. . . . just because you can write it doesn't mean you can read Remember we have a solid legal system in this country because English can be interpreted in many ways it's just like using polish but not even changing a single letter nor order it becomes something completely different if you capitalise it; Polish Let's hope the OP gets it sorted as it 'could' effect us all and posts the result's in 4 days time, in the meantime I'm off for a gin
  18. Just spoke to my man for you and he says it tricky as you have admitted carrying carts, petrol, camping gas etc but to find resolve he suggests you try: Adrian Flux | Modified Car Insurance These peeps are used to the variables of life Hope it helps, good luck
  19. I've never been asked that question before and there is a wide level of risks. small print and arguments with insurance companies, as a wise old owl once said. . . . . ' I'm cover to work on any height of roof as a builder but non if I fall off ' I have a pal who is from the inner circle as an ex manager of the Royal so I'll ask him and if he can shine any light, I'll report back to this thread with his pearls of wisdom Good luck in the meantime
  20. Picked up mate old chum on a regular trip to a farm on Sunday to keep the ferals at bay only to be met by the farmers daughter who said you want to get yourselves down the bottom track as I was there yesterday with the dogs and there was lot's of pigeons, so off we went. . . . what a flightline there was and it was windy! My old mate ( 84 years young ) hasn't got long left in the field by his own admission and has a few ailments to say the least but I drove him to a solid piece of footing and he sat on the ledge of the boot, there was very little sun so could see the birds as clear as day ( he has eyesight problems as well as mobility ). . . . he absolutely filled his boots I can tell you all, he was dropping the birds one after the other at 45yards ++ something he never thought he would do again He had the biggest smile you could ever imagine and laughed all the way home about that was better than 'driven pheasant and can we go back on Sunday please, of course I said it a done deal but how proud and chuffed that I was to give a true gentleman a mornings impromptu sport
