  1. Hi all My 15year old Bosch jig saw has packed in, nothing lasts 5mins these days! I now need another one ( I'm no joiner type person so assume a jigsaw is still the tool to buy ) I know from other types of tools that the blades are a key part of the job so don't want to be buying a new one only to be faced with the blades to be more expensive than the initial purchase, so can you give me some guidance on which jigsaw to buy? Cheers in advance and appreciate your help as always
  2. Cheers for that, I'll have a read up and will be back to you sharpish if I'm still interested.
  3. Seems cheap to me but can you explain a little more about the 'special' bit and how old it is? Cheers
  4. Firstly don't get downbeat with the answers/questions that this topic will throw up, we are all here to help but here goes my opinion. I'm going to assume you do a bit while beating so if you get a 100% waterproof ( Poncho ) your going to steam from the inside, so you need less than 100% that breathes but how much less than is your choice, top end of waterproofness is something like Fortress Fortex Waterproof Fleece Lined Jacket– Hollands Country Clothing but these kind of jackets rip pretty easy so long lasting they aren't so this then bring in Goretex and the likes which are stronger yet rip your wallet so not ideal for beating but they do look good. May I suggest you go for something like British Army MTP Lightweight Waterproof Jacket Goretex MVP Used | eBay now I get this is the cammo version but they do similar in olive green with matching bib pants as I have them but you just need to search about the interweb I paid about £120 for pants and coat and they are bullet proof but not barbed wire proof 4 seasons in. If these ideas are not for you and money is no object then go into any shooting emporium and they will sell you the right gear. I'm only be light hearted at this point but if you tell us more about your shoot ie. Bracken, Thorns, Xmas trees, duck ponds, hills, open countryside then we will point you in the right direction more better
  5. I would rate the HV's are 9.5/10 and your RC's 10/10 so nowt much in it sir, you could always be maverick and have HV's in 1st barrel and RC's in 2nd. . . . in fact I'm sitting here smiling knowing that I'm going to give it a go with that combo, , , , what could possibly go wrong!
  6. I find the 32gs 6's Eley are killers and are priced right for a smooth cart
  7. Coincidence. . . . . On a beaters day last year, I was using the aforementioned carts and had the same questions after the 1st drive. I also use same size Eley HV Pigeon which I recon is on par with Black Gold but reckon yours are a touch of class
  8. Scully You told me some time about RC Sipe 32grm 5’s Tried them and love them for high birds Thank you

    Weird virus

I think you nailed it all in the title
  10. I'm I correct that there are multiple .177 s200's between £2-300 sealed bids but nothing else?
  11. 24 is a decent number sir; well done. I would agree with the half choke, I use 1/2 on still summer days when shooting a flightline but at this time of year stick with IMP and 1/4
  12. As above; it's traceable so job done in my eyes
  13. Let me know what you have for sale; thanks in advance
  14. Hi all Unsure if I'm missing a vital point but watched the news last night regarding the mask wearing on public transport / in shops. The reporter was asking people getting off a bus why they didn't have one on with the normal shrug of the shoulders combined with dunno. The head of the Coop was adamant his staff weren't there to police it as last time it was a cause of tension. May I ask do you all who do you think are going to be on hand to dish out the £200 fines because the report didn't explain that point? I understand the options but unsure how it is ever going to happen because to me it's a crucial link of the chain to keep us alive and as us lot of practical people know the old story of the weakest link in the heat of battle

I would agree 100% with you as I know a good few dogs that have come via re-homing and they have turned out fab; obviously not every dog but will be looking there first when I need another

Good job you don't live up the North West mate or you would be waiting a while but sincerely hope you find a nice one
  17. Go for it, it may take a few months waiting at this time of the year
  18. There is nowt in it mate; it's as simple as a personal choice because only you know where your streams are coming from. The Chromecast is also a worthy contender. Some food for thought tho. . . . 1. Consider how old your tv is ( if it's more than 5 years old it don't matter what stick you buy your limited by your tv ) 2. If you have less than full fibre ( the actual cable into your house ) again it don't matter 3. If you stream a football match/movie from other than Sky or BT etc again it isn't going to make any difference Good luck
  19. What about women in movies who call themselves actors, last time I looked they were an actress
  20. An interesting point on this subject I reckon is. . . . what goes on their death cert because the way I see it if a male was born a male would have to die and obviously vice versa so I think there has to be 2 genders. On a lighter note. . . a lot of people these days look the same to me and if you see a modern name like Asha or Ezra ( I just pulled them from a simple Google search ) it doesn't give us any clue of how to address them without offence; so we could easily make a genuine mistake but as long as we know the difference between a cock and hen pheasant we shouldn't upset the keeper no matter what gender that person may be going forward Good luck to you both because it must be difficult with the speed of modern life combined with a constant social media bombardment
  21. A tiny amount of pickle in there works too but not tooooooo much
  22. I didn't know those points, cheers
  23. Tip: Depending on if your poacher gamekeeper 1. If you knack them all in one go then their cousins will be less keen to plot up 2. If you take it easy ( turn up once a fortnight ) they will act as decoys and keep attracting more thus you will have ongoing sport
