  1. Just used united utilities water meter calculator and this was the answer: You currently pay£455.66per year With a water meter you would pay£655.97 per year
  2. Think I better re-look into it
  3. Interesting and nice to know others are creative thinkers in their spare time. PS. Does either or both of you use a hosepipe for watering the garden as that was the deal breaker for me the last time I did the numbers
  4. Happy is happy mate, as long as it does what you want then you have the right gun
  5. That sounds like problem solved for £60 to me
  6. Since there is a lottery going on between forces it puts us all under duress never mind potentially on the losing side, is there no solution that puts the onus back to the police, ie: We reply to their statement of "It is only to be used on renewal applications if you are declaring a relevant medical condition." with something like this : "While I the undersigned am considered to have no relevant medical conditions to declare that would impede the renewal of my SGC please contact my doctor in your usual manner to satisfy yourselves." I'm not an expert my any means but if something similar to above should put the onus back onto them rather than someone having a bad day pulling something up from 20 years ago as mentioned above? Surely I'm not the only one to think like this and know there are many creative thinkers on here which between us all be able to stress free from the dreaded renewal process
  7. Breaking news : Morrisons own brand seem to be miles ahead of the rest at the moment. . .. hardly any crumbs
  8. It's a wonderful dish and might just get some from my butcher as it's that time of the year; just like Oxtail season

    Wasson?

My fridge is still working keeping my beer cold
  10. Yes, absolutely agree and love the ptfe fix. . . . never heard that one before
  11. What do you guys have in your 1st aid kits ( both pocket/belt +stored in car ( human + canine )) Looking forward to seeing the results
  12. A little overkill in my opinion, more easier to hide the cabinet or make a dummy one more visible but consider a shed alarm, baby monitor or any stand alone system that has wifi but remember to be stable the alarm really needs to be powered, the cheap Chinese battery type bits of kit need updating.
  13. Interesting comments by you all, I'm just astounded by the situation the country is in; yet again
  14. No worries. . . . Sold as seen unless your in the motor trade
  15. What you use the hangman's knot for I wonder Reef knot is pretty common but you will forget unless you keep practicing
  16. I'm posting this as I can't believe it myself. . . Obviously we have heard the country is in need of HGV drivers, so my neighbour packed in driving a few years ago to be with his family but is a bit skint, so big mouth me, says the current situation plays into his hands as an experienced driver, so he has gone out and updated all his tickets at truck school and can't get any work as no-one is hiring and the work that is available through what I suppose are agencies are offering £12-ish per hour which isn't far away from a general £10/hr offered for non professional jobs This seems to ludicrous to me, so am asking you guys is the country really in need of drivers or is it another spin so our Government looks good in the news Rant over but I'm really looking forwarding to hearing any comments
  17. Eley Max 3's and as I say not one of my finest days, the birds resembled sparrows in size when they were flushed and were an unbelievable speed by the time they reached us. The pickers were a few hundred yards behind; obviously through experience. If it's your thing, your good enough and have a wallet to match extreme pheasant shooting will probably be amazing and a great day but for a working man who wants some sport it's out of reach in more than one way but everyone's different I suppose
  18. I was on high pheasants last year for the 1st time and did ok-ish using 38grms with full chokes ( that's what was recommended to me ) and wouldn't been keen to go back as I thought they were on the extreme range of a shotgun and definitely injured a few
  19. WGC is indeed a straight line, I can't hit clays for toffee and everyone says I'm over the top and have no plans on changing my style as hit birds fine which so very happy to miss out on a day at the clays with the lads
  20. The new phones are governed by the banks to try and combat fraud as our credit/debit cards don't have batteries so can't prevent fraud so a 2 step rule is now pretty much mandatory for any online transaction BUT I feel your pain, try this new phone Nokia 3310 It's a simple as your going to get
  21. triggr – Clay pigeon shooting for groups and individuals This is very close to Scorton ( just behind the BP petrol station / M&S shop ) and is a country mile better, from memory its £27 for 50 cheddite carts and upto 50 clays, unsure the other price structure. Or Blackpool sporting clays ain't that far away either depending which side you approach
