Doveridge Scores 31/1/10

The shoot was won with an incredible 98 by an AA Jnr shooter R J Ingamells :good: :good:

Some tidy shooting there from Mr Potter and Claybuster :yay: and I claimed my first Faux scalp of 2010 :yay::good:

Yes, some tidy shooting from the PW contingent (except me :o )

Well done to Mr Potter, Claybuster, NickyT and Anni for 88, 88, 79 and 77 :good:

Had a little trip down to a very snowy Worsley this afternoon to check out some of the sporting stands. They've been putting some thought and effort in recently with regards to the targets - looks like it's going to prove to be a useful training ground in the future :good:

Didn't score as I was with a mate out shooting for the first time; didn't miss much and I reckon I did alright as well

Shot A1 registered today with Bigweed. Shocked to learn that £42 was the competition entry, and £35 bird only..... so birds only muppets we were!!

73/100 for me. Was really disappointed with that, until checking the scoreboard afterwards and found that it wasn't that bad at all really, either leading B class or not far off it. High gun was 86 who we shot with, a thoroughly nice chap, Aldis Kartocius.

67/100 at Caterham today with PDLM and Jonnyoftheboy. Dropped 4 on an easy going away stand (god knows how) and lost 2 on another stand due to trigger freeze  - think I've caught this off PDLM as it happened yesterday as well - both times on the first barrel. Never happened to me before and feels just like the trigger is solid and won't budge.

Maybe I'll get a brother soon too :good::hmm:

86/100 birds only at Caterham - not a bad round apart from an embarassing 5 loss blank on the rabbit. Worst off, PDLM's squad shot it before us and we ripped the ****. Oh yes, I felt particularly clever when it was my go and blanked the lot.

Then did a smash and grab at JJs with a 76/84 and a 3rd in class.

Lots of silly misses but overall happy with the shooting and nice to get a pass and a full day's shooting on the clays.

Met up with Stumacher and his mate Alan - top boys, good crack and nice and normal. Another score for the forum and "normal" people who like a laugh getting together (but in a non sexual "we met on the internet" kind of way).

As you would say Mung - nice darts. Must have done rather well on the rest if lost 5 rarebits !!
