vole
After alot of looking for my 1st rimfire I took a bit of a chance and sent for this. It got to my local rfd on Saturday so I went and had a look and slunk off awaiting my ticket. Got home and it was on the doormat.Had to wait till today to pick it up and popped my scope and SAK moderator on. Plan to zero on the range this weekend then have a pop at the rabbits and crows which were aplenty this morning. Just pondering what flavour ammo to get. [url=http://s166.photobucket Winnie subs However it'd be good to get a range of ammo, as each gun has a preference. Zero it at around 65 yards and ensure you have a good backstop, as you will more than likely hear a ricochet.

vole
Ta fellers. Its a CZ Style I got from Fenland Sports for £230.In great nick. Added a 10 round mag too. Bit of a squeeze to get in the cabinet though. Might have to change my pump action for a shotgun that will break down to stick in the little cabinet. camokid
buy a 7 gun cabinet then it would be a shame to see empty spaces
Colster
I have the Silhouette in 16" it groups slightly better with Remington but I found they don't expand as well for hunting. I found Winchester subs group ok and have better knock down power than the Remingtons. It didn't like CCI Stingers or the Federal HV ones (can't remember the name atm)
Silhouette
Eley subsonic hollowpoints... Fantastic in my opinion.
Billy.
Eley subsonic hollowpoints... Fantastic in my opinion. I've always found these a bit waxy and leave a right old mess in the magazine/breech... Horses for courses though!
bicykillgaz
Eley subsonic hollowpoints... Fantastic in my opinion. i totally agree i just wish i could them near me! my cz varmint .22lr hates superX's eley are a far better made more consistent round, if you can buy a box of each and open them next to each other eleys are all uniformed the hollow's are all identical then open the winchester i bet you dont get 25 that have the same depth hollow there pants, in my opinion any way. eley group far better through my cz, and i use remmington lazers (hv's) for hare. good luck anyway mate and congratulations :o Edited March 24, 2010 by bicykillgaz

vole
I just need to learn how to use it now. Have been punching holes in paper well enough but need to get in the field. Have been sussing out the safe shooting angles and where the bunnies and crows are. Still plan to mooch with the shotgun though.Me dawg loves ratching in the hedgerows. Evil Elvis
Glad you saw sense dude, you wont go wrong with a styleeeeeeee!!! Mine loves remington subs and will do a group penny sized at 75 yards with ease!! :o
bennyblanco
Eley subsonic hollowpoints... Fantastic in my opinion. And they smell good too, like pudding The eley have always grouped best in my Sako but I'm sure every gun is different so for the price its worth buying a box of each. Bit of a drive from Cheshire to Cambs for a CZ isn't it? Edited March 24, 2010 by bennyblanco
arjimlad
Evidently you have impeccable taste ! I have the same rifle and Eley subs go very well with it. What's that scope ? Have you put a brooks trigger kit on it yet ?
bullet boy
I use Winchester Subsonic ammunition in my Ruger 10/22-my rifle loves them!
bruno22rf
Heres my opinion for what its worth-Eley hollow point subs and RWS high velocity.Buy a box of Eley and Winnie subs and if the winnies outshoot the Eleys then i will pay for the box for you-confident this offer wont cost me a penny but i will stand by it. Have you put a brooks trigger kit on it yet ? Guntrader is a fine website when it is running ok that is. Scope is a Nikko Stirling Gameking 4-16x50. Got it for when I had an HMR on order. No trigger kit yet. I have got used to club rifles so will be nice to have my own to tweak. Is there still a shortage of Eley subs round Cheshire/ Manchester? vole
Seems mad but can only fit a breakdown cab on top of a full length 3 gun one, both horizontal with ammo safe on top. Pyramid like. Small house and limited space and all. Its only an Escort pump saying that. Think I can squeeze an HMR and .223(some day) in sideways if my shotguns go in the breakdown one. monkeyboots
mines likes eley or winchester but id say the eley"s would shoot just slighty a bit better in my rifle although the winchester are £2.50 a box cheaper
alexr
Your escort pump Vole. You should be able to remove the barrel on that quite easly if it is anything like mine. That way you would be able to put in in your small cabinet rather than getting rid of it.
