Daveo26
I shoot clays and game I want a 30" O/U i can do both with. Im looking at buying new either..... Browning: Citori, one of the 525s or a GTS Or... a Miroku MK60 or MK70 Im stumped as to which one to go for iv handled them all except the Citori and MK70 and they all feel right, they are all between £1000 and £1500 They are all very similar i know, I think the mirokus are probably better value? But the brownings are back bored and supposed to be nicer to shoot? Its doing my head in. Any Bowning/Miroku Experts care to help me out? scooby -doo
ive had a few mirokus , mk 60,70 and 38 ! changed a good mk 70 to a grade 5 mk38 and hated it , went back 2 gun shop and got my 70 back , in my eyes the mk70 is the best all round gun on the market ! CEREALTHRILLER
its been said on here countless times before but its all down to what fits you best - its all about stock dimensions and proportions. I have a MK38 cos it just feels right. If you are able to handle a few you'll soon make up your mind. DOH!!! just read the bit about youve handled them all and they all feel right - go for a Miroku!!! HDAV
Browning and Miroku are very similar, Buy which ever fits but dont discount guns like the 325 Grade 6 one of the most beautiful guns I have ever seen
Gordon R
They are made in the same place, but Mirokus are cheaper. You get more gun for your money with Mirokus.
MITCHF
All down to fit but, I do luurv my MK38 Teague Sporter Gd1. Try before you buy BTW - MK38 is back bored as well
markm
Miroku by a mile, love my mk70 but for what I do I never change the chokes, they are a pain as I only take them out to grease the threads, in a lot of ways I should have bought a mk60. Either will do a grand job! Does a pheasant being wacked with 32gms of 6's really give a stuff if your barrels are back bored? I know the 325 doesn't have chromed barrels but do the chambers really rust? I have a 525 with chrome barrels (I assume chambers)is it a particular issue with the 325 or just unchromed internals? Ped
Another vote for the MK70 here, got a grade 5 (it was prettier than the Browning I looked at on the day I bought it...) and it's ace. Couldn't think of anything to swap it for if I'm honest Only thing I've changed is the chokes - now fitted with Teagues instead of the standard parts which I found loosened off after 40-50 shots - Teagues are extended so can be hand tightened. YES, mines terrible for it. the gun does'nt even need to see rain just shooting it and not cleaning it results in furry, rusty chambers. I think its a problem with any un-chromed gun i had a Webley 1020 that did the same.

Cheers for the replies Gents The 525 is a nicer gun to handle than the citori, i have had both. The citori is a very heavy gun but very pointable but i prefer the 525,in reality they are the same gun but the citori feels dead in the hands compared to the 525. maddog546
I have a MK38 and a 3800 miruko and wouldnt change them for any of the brownings I've tried, buut thats my choice
Miroku Mike
Miroku Miroku Miroku all day long, as previously stated a whole lot of gun for your money. I have just bought my first beretta, which is a lovely gun, but the wood to metal finish for a premium grade gun is not a patch compared to my Mirok's. I have a 3800 a mk60 which i had choked, and a mk10 which i just recently sold, all of which are superb, and most will fit your average joe straight out of the box. Sporting shooter always say you can spend more money on others but you wont get anymore gun. Superb :good:
Daveo26
Iv just got back from Euroguns in Donny, I went to look at a S/H but as new MK70, It sold yesterday I thought id have a feel of a new one to see how it felt in the shoulder. Hands up if you can guess what happened next?? Yep I bought it. It was a good price, about the lowest iv seen because they are having a sale on Mirokus As a bonus the gun (a GRD 1) has an oil finished stock whick looks and feels nicer than laquer and its HP steel proof so i can put any 3" shell i want through it. I cant wait to shoot it tomorrow.
