Not a massive budget I know but I've seen some serviceable looking Berettas going for about this (A303/A301 etc) So the question is should I stick to looking for a Beretta or are there others of similar quality. I see them at about the £300 mark second hand some times at game fairs. I would say one of these would serve you well, my dads has never missed a beat using 28g cartridges ! And they have that horrid button you have to press every time to load your 2 into the magizine. The only thing the hasten has for it is cheap when new and a 3 year warrenty but after that you are left with a cheap semi that with time may turn out to fail and fall apart. There new to the market and havent had chance to prove them selfs yet but the berettas and browning have been around for a while and have proved themselfs . semiautolee Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 not all hatsans have that dredded button on the side, mine has not got it, mine is the newer version where you just push the cartridge on to the loading gate and its in. its alot quicker as you can load with one hand while holding the gun with the other. instead of needing 3 hands with the button. Salop Matt Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 funnily enough I have one thats probably that old or older still works faultlessly, knew it wouldn't be long till a hatstand got suggested but come on they aren't in the same league With my Dads he found it so well made that when the law changed down to 3 shot from 5 he sent it off for the mag to be crimped and they couldnt do it, None of there tools were strong enough so they just drilled a whole and put a nylon peice in the mag and fixed it in place with a screw through the nylon block. Tongue in cheek sarcasm doesn't always come across well on a keyboard maybe. I'll keep an eye out for a Beretta then but also add Franchi and Remington to the possibles... just always fancied a Beretta but too tight to pay the money. AHH, now that may be so, but like most B word guns, after a box of cartridges which nearly all jammed, it has since sat in the cabinet while I use the trusty Hatsun which has proven to be faultless and spits anything out. Yup, I have to admit, I did buy a "Cabinet Gun". A good day out that, MC, I would love to do it again and a few thou of cartridges have passed through that trusty piece you so admired and envied, but I have not shot a clay since so my performance would again be quite shocking, unless of course Mungler loans me that Blazer again. "Tongue in cheek sarcasm"? Unadulterated truth more like,and if your a bit tight, then it seems the Hatsun is the gun for you. Now ozzy518 has a nice little 12g Mossy Oak number for sale, VERY low mileage and for less than 150 squid, so maybe you should PM him, but please, Oz is a direct kind of guy and if he finds out I put you onto it, he wont let me use his quad, so don't ask things like "what colour is it", or "how many cc's" and for the love, ask him how much then say yes or no, don't offer him silly money, or I'll be walking.
