smokeyoakey
Hi all, I am thinking of buying another gun, my main shooting is pigeon shooting and i was considering buying a 32'' BUT some people say go for it others say too long for close up birds. A chap at work has got a 30'' miroku and has had it teague choked (was fixed) looking for £750 for it. Am a bit of a browning lover really so anyone got a browning £750 / £800 mark i might be interested. Any other thoughts / comments much appreiciated many thanks Smokey (northants)
TJ91
wrong section but i woudl suggest you get a gun that fits i have used 28inch barrels up to 32 inch barrels when decoying pigeons, all work fine with the right cart and choke
wabbitbosher
I'd go more for a 26 or 28 inch for pigeon , depends if your doing a lot of hide work 32's are more Duck shooting i recon i'll put some feelers out for a Nice Browning if you like Wb

Salop Matt
A 28" MC gun does everything for me its only occasionally on the clays i feel i would prefer a 30 " ! If I had lots of decoying to do I might consider a 26" or skeet gun specifically as they can be bought cheap !
majordisorder
Don't know if you've seen it but there's a Browning 425 in Northampton Gun Company @ £
bakerboy
I use a 32" Browning for clays, and did use it for pigeons, I have now converted myself to a 28" semi auto and would not look back, easier to use in the confines of a hide. Still use the 32" for clays and Pheasant though!!

A gun for life if you do your homework TEH
pat g
I would say 26"-28" if most of your shooting is pigeons. Shorter barrels will be better in a hide than 32". I use my 28" side by side when i'm hide shooting but i can see the benefit of even shorter barrels ATB Pat
sitsinhedges
Get an auto then you wont have to worry about getting it tangled in the hide when you need to load it cos you don't need to drop the barrels down to break them and put fresh shells in. That 3rd shot can be a Godsend too
Blackpowder
That 3rd shot can be a Godsend too More expense, 3 misses instead of 2 Blackpowder
sitsinhedges
More expense, 3 misses instead of 2 Blackpowder Ammo is cheap but watching that bird cartwheel with the final shot is priceless

alastair0903
my 28 inch Maxus is a fair bit longer than my 30 inch citori i have and only just fits in my new gun cabinet !
The Duncan
More expense, 3 misses instead of 2 Blackpowder That would be my concern
