Mark-70
Into the hand, then in the bin. When rough shooting into the hand and always take them home!! Complete ignorance to eject spent cases all over somebody's land when they are good enough to give you permission to shoot there. Same applies to people who do it at clay grounds and don't pick them up too!
Thunderbird
I think if you were brought up 'proper' to basically not drop litter, then you will probably automatically have a problem with blatantly leaving them on the ground. I think also if anyone has had any experience of farming or country sports then you are automatically aware of the damage foreign objects can do when eaten or stepped on by an animal so, like shutting gates, it becomes second nature. Dunkield
I think if you were brought up 'proper' to basically not drop litter, then you will probably automatically have a problem with blatantly leaving them on the ground. Oddly, some people who do a lot of driven game shooting eject their cartridges assuming they will be picked up by others, then automatically do the same when shooting clays. We followed a group like this round a clay ground a couple of weeks ago, to a man they all ejected them on the ground and then stepped over them and walked onto the next stand. One of 'us' was doing the same at the charity shoot on Saturday as each stand we visited had spent cartridges in the cage.

Yep, agreed. I see it all the time at a ground I practice at even though technically speaking part of their T&Cs (AFAIK) say you pick up empties. DSPUK
I am a magnet man but I have a O/U for the odd trap shooting - it's non ejector which suites me as I have power in my hands to open gun but not one handed due to arthritis - when I tried my mates DT10 I couldn't even press lever with my thumb to open it. Greg_D
i'm with the anti-littering brigade. when there is clearly a bin provided and it is half full of empty cartridges, it takes some sort of knobber to drop his carts all over the floor and walk off. personally, into hand and into the bin, i will even tidy a stand up if there are a few errant carts about. it's no better than dropping an empty fag packet/crisp bag out of the car window. Ireland's Finest!
I don't like ejaculating all over the place so usually do it into my hand. If its cold and I'm wearing woolly gloves then I eject towards my stomach and drop to my feet. I think your on the wrong site! P.s Yes I did edit your post
Tiger955i
I shoot a semi so the empties spray all over. Religously pick them up afterwards though. Now I try to avoid shooting too near nettles, thistles etc I think will invest in one of those magnetic sticks this seasonlol.
Canis
Usually gun hand bin, or gun- chest- bin (problem with gun -chest- bin is if you mistime it -it becomes Gun -Chin- Bin. occaisionally i will let them fly (aimed at) at someone behind sledging me but either which way they end up in the bin eventually. I do wonder if the magnet on a stick could be usefully improved on using an electro magnet?
Blunderbust
I put my hand over the shells to stop them flying out. I have no real idea why clay guns are not made as non-ejectors, in this day and age. I know the odd one can be switched off - Browning etc. Why do you need ejectors? I ejact into my hand but ejectors are a must when you are doing shoots like team flushes when you just don't have the time to be removing spent cases by hand. reddan
On the floor and then pick them up after I have finished the stand because I don't want anything to break the low level of concentration I have. My ejectors aren't that strong so they don't go far. Dan
Acid House
I break the barrels 90 degrees down so the carts eject over my head. I then lean forward, catch them on my neck, drop them onto my heel and flick them into the bin. I sometimes heel them back over my shoulder into a top pocket but feel this is showing off a bit. Seriously though if using my over and under, it's so tight I do have trouble breaking it with one hand so if no one is looking I have been k own to flip and fire. :(
Hamster
do have trouble breaking it with one hand so if no one is looking I have been k own to flip and fire. :( Just had my 682e fettled with new discs and it`s gone from best London self opener to rather stiff , so I`m having trouble even catching them at the moment. Hasn`t done my concentration much good .

Dangerous Brian
Using the Browning I cover the chambers and catch the shells. Use an old Laurona too (non ejector) and find this less hassle to reload, though not as good for flicking spent shells at my mate if he is taking the p1$$ (probably miss him as well!) Non ejector better in the hide after pigeon too (IMO) as you don't have to go ferreting around after empties in the hedge.
Spara Dritto
Push the lever to the side, twist gun 90 degrees (I do this so the barrels are parallel to my hand), break the barrels, catch the shells having my hand about 6 inches away and "lob-em" in the bin. Sounds cool but It's just the quickest way to get going again! Well said Gordon, I'm not sure why you have ejectors on a clay gun!! berties
Always open gun and don't allow carts to eject, and like already said pick them out and either bin or put in rear pocket ,but my semi is just embarrassing fires them metres away as it's not been used much which is a pain if there is plenty of hedge and over growth around
HDAV
realised the other day i eject them so they just hit me without leaving the chambers the grab and flick them into the nearest bin ........ Each to there own i guess. Embarrassing when you miss the bin tho....
