woodystock
Hello there, We really need your help. We lost our wonderful black lab at the CLA game fair this weekend, on the sat about 2.00pm in Gunmakers Row. She was in a stall next to the shooting times stand. We went to look through the sights of an air rifle and when we looked down she had gone. She may have disappeared through the back of the tent. She is approx 1 year old, solid black, with a very small patch of white on her underbelly - you have to look hard for it. She is very timid in nature, and a fairly useless gundog - so of no value to anyone, but an extremely loved member of our family. Initially we thought that she had gone missing, and was hiding somewhere but as time has gone on, it is now looking like someone has taken her. Please please look out for any dogs that might be for sale, or anyone has acquired a new dog since the fair that seems suspicious. She is microchipped and we will offer a cash reward for her safe return. She means the world to us, not as a gundog, but as our pet. She answers to the name of Lilah. Any help would be more than appreciated. Chris.

hogey
Its very odd but some guy on here said he bought a Lab and Jackie of some Irish bloke at the gamefair.I am not saying it has anything to do with it but worth further investigation. -Mongrel-
Do you have a link to this post? as it might help our member track their dog down? I'm fairly sure it was a tongue in cheek comment before people realised it was a genuine misssing dog... Bought a nice jack russel and a lab from an irish man Edited July 25, 2011 by -Mongrel-
hogey
I'm fairly sure it was a tongue in cheek comment before people realised it was a genuine misssing dog... That post about the irish man was posted before the post about the missing dog. I am not saying it has anyting to do with it but strange don't you think. You have the link now, good luck in your search
paul041075
Saw a man and woman who were very dodgy (even amongst everyone there) selling jack russells, some of the staff on one of the vehicle caught up with them on the sunday and told them to stop trying to sell them and move on. Would of thought they should have been chucked out personnally. Never saw them with a lab though. Hope your dog turns up must be awful and even worse if some **** hole has nicked her. I would get in touch with all the other forums, magazines, BASC and also the CLA themselves to see if they can assist in any way. Best of luck - hope your reunited soon. woodystock
This is really great news! We have Lilah back, after 3 weeks. We traced her to West Wales. We reported this to the police and they attended a property(four days later!)and reported no black dog there. We went to the area and put up posters and posted fliers through doors and talked to the people at the property in question. That night a member of the public picked Lilah up wandering the streets in a nearby town. He took her to a local vet who read the chip and we fetched her today. She was very frightened to start with but is back to normal now. Great result. Edited August 12, 2011 by woodystock
