The Essex Hunter
This has probably been on before but I was looking at some of his stuff on youtube and thought that some of you may find it of interest. I remember the tune for the first series, fantastic programme which would be sadly lost on most of the youth of to-day……good post thank you TEH
Supersonic
A true legend, I grew up with Out of Town. Funny thing was there was a busker on the tube playing the theme tune just the other day. Nige
big simmo999
I remember the tune for the first series, fantastic programme which would be sadly lost on most of the youth of to-day……good post thank you TEH I bought the whole set of dvds of out of town for my dad this christmas - brings back fantastic memories. There must be a producer somewhere who would make a similar series but not so pc like countryfile

TaxiDriver
When I was a kid I used to be enthralled by 'Out of Town' every Saturday or Sunday lunchtime and my parents could never get me to sit at the table in the dining room to eat lunch/dinner. Happy days

Vince Green
I have a Jack Hargraves box set that was bought for me a couple of Christmases back. It contains no rabbiting or shooting clips, just horses and blacksmiths and the like. Been sanitised for the politically correct brigade. JR1960
Wonderful old boy. Never missed a programme as a kid. Despite the fact I grew up in a village on the broads he almost single-handedly fired my enthusiasm for all things 'country'. The missus bought me all the dvds last xmas bless her, still haven't had time to watch them all. If they brought back something similar they would certainly have one avid viewer. After the success of kill it, cook it, eat it recently there might just be the will to do it. Edited August 25, 2011 by JR1960
butchdickason
I was the same JR, it was definately the best programme on the TV. Butch
Dekers
Don't get me started, for the many who probably think I am cold and heartless this guy always chokes me up. I couldn't wait to see his programs when I was a lad, a gent and a countryman, if I go to my grave knowing half what he did I will go happy! Jack!
