Though you don't have an explanation, there probably was a very boring one

Quite a few people have made a lot of money out of the 'unexplained'. As long as they remain unexplained or people mention unknown sightings, the industry continues.

I really cant accept a hugely advanced technology simply observing a different, low technology world without needing to 'borrow' some resources from somewhere.

NAZCA LINES, ERIC VON DANIKEN. etc, my dad was always convinced they meant something. He died some years ago still believing this **** but since it gave him pleasure what the hell.

There is no doubt in my mind - there's an earthly explanation to all these things.

I've seen strange objects 'hovering' on two separate occasions.

I was driving both times so it was difficult to study them(I don't drink and drive either!)

On both occasions these objects were there and were gone in a split second.I was not alone either,

My son the first time and the wife the second and they saw what I did.

There is probably a simple(boring) explanation but it was odd all the same!

When I was 14, a looong time ago, two of us were walking in Hartfield Crescent in Wimbledon when we saw three people staring up at the night sky, so we joined them as you do. We were greeted by an amazing sight of two bright circles of light maybe ten miles away bobbing up and down fairy low, you could explain it as Chinese lanterns if you like but once or twice they suddenly sped from zero still to what can only be guestimated as several thousand miles per hour to one side or other, they didn't look like from this earth.:huh: It lasted a good five minutes and I seem to recall some newspaper articles about it for some time later.

I wouldn't give too much credence to the fact it made the papers. We had a load of newspaper reports of UFO sightings locally a few years ago. Literally dozens of people reported strange lights in the sky and it was headline news in the local rag. Letters page was full of people absolutely convinced they'd seen spaceships. Next week it was explained that there had been a local wedding and (you've guessed it) hods of Chinese lanterns were released. This was when they were still a bit of a novelty here and not many people had seen them. I'm not saying that's what you saw, just giving an example of the minor hysteria and media hype which can ensue over something which turns out to be quite ordinary.

Plenty of pilots, military and commercial, have seen UFOs that keep pace with their jets, perform manouvres including right angled turns, extreme acceleration and deceleration. The things appear to be under intelligent control, solid and often metallic in appearance. Official studies conclude that a few percent of UFO sightings appear to be controlled physical objects that cannot be explained away as misidentification of prosaic phenomena.

Walking on Davidstow airfield (ex WW2) N Cornwall last January near dusk.(Spooky place even in daylight!)I took two pictures of the setting sun and the "discs" were the result when loaded onto the the computer. Note that the second picture shows whatever it was, flying away. There were no aircraft, balloons or birds in sight. 100% genuine pictures but quite probably easily explained??

dont belive in them, no such thing

Indeed, nor ghosts. I often find people who believe in one, believe in the other. I think some people are just more predisposed towards wanting to believe in the "unexplained" and all that old guff

The real world is interesting and complicated enough for me.

I thought i saw one once. A black disk flew across a field I was walking through, just as someone shouted the name 'paul'. It was accompanied by two load bangs and some cursing, probably the alians being unhappy that thier tiny spaceship back fired. Anyway, it flew on into some grass and dissappeared.

A bit like my experience, which I haven't spoken about for a long time. A big orange saucer shaped disk flew over me when I was in the park once. A golden retriever jumped up and caught it in its mouth :o Explain that! :hmm:

Extra canine terrestrial-tastic :good:

I'm not prepared to believe that we are the only 'intelligent' (questionable) species in the Universe, and we are sending out probes to try and see what else is out there, I therefore find it completely acceptable that unknown others are doing the same and quite possibly in a far more advanced way.

As for ghosts, yeah, why not. One thing we don't seem to be able to get rid of is energy, you can change it or transfer it but you can't cancel it, we are forms of energy and that probably ends up somewhere, call it a ghost if you like.

Having said all that, I've never seen either although my mother and sister claim to have separately seen ghosties!

On my second sighting a brave man in an orange skeet jacket shot at one and blew it up! I attmepted this also, but thier superiour manouvering skill allowed them to evade my shots.

That starts out as being semi scientific, it's true, you can't create or destroy energy. The second bit is a crock though, when you croak the stored chemical energy in your body does end up somewhere. Call it a ghost if you like? Na, I call it worm food and daffodil fertiliser

There are over a billion stars in our galaxy and there are billions of other galaxies.

And good ole planet Earth is the only planet that has life on it...yeah right.

The thing is, we haven't yet got our head around warp spead...mind you we could just about fly 100 years ago.

What if one of the planets out there are just a wee bit more intelligent than us and say been doing hard sums for say a million more years than us...and they haven't sent drones to see what the heck we are doing transmitting I Love Lucy?

Oh yes...we are being watched and no-one will want to strike up a meaningful conversation. Just remember what our approach is to lower lives on our own planet.
