cocker3 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Share Posted January 22, 2012 had to do the hardest thing i have ever had to to today i had to get my old mate put to sleep hooch was 13 yrs old and had not been very well for the last few weeks and this morning he had to be put to sleep . i am heart broken at the loss of him he was my best shooting companion for 13 years and will be missed dearly . he was born in my house and passed away in my house i had used him as a working dog from 8 mths old till the start of this season and even till last week he came with me picking up he would get out the car for the first drive pick a bird and head back to the car content for the rest of the day my best mate Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its hard to lose such a companion - buried mine in front of the garden seat looking out over Cheshire a couple of months ago. Its the last, most decent and caring thing you can do for them.
