Markio Posted May 7, 2012 Report Share Posted May 7, 2012 My daughter was born on my 31st birthday. Don't feel bad about not having kids, it's not for everyone, me included, I'm terrible at it! Mine is really sweet/cute/lovely but still drives me utterly mad on a daily basis. It's 10% the best thing in the world, 90% pain in the '*****, if you like those odds then go for it. Thunderbird Posted May 7, 2012 Report Share Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) I felt truly ready when I had my son. Had been able to have loads of nice exotic holidays etc over the years. Nothing left on the list really. I'm only speaking for myself because I respect how young parents cope but I think I'm a better parent for the wait. feaks Posted May 7, 2012 Report Share Posted May 7, 2012 I was 36, hadn't given kids a thought 'till i was on holiday in Cyprus with the 'Other Half' and made a joke about never going to have to worry about 'em as we weren't having any. Seems she had other plans ! Life was good before the kid and its still good,just different, now. (Gonna build me a porch with a rockin' chair on so i can clean the gun while watching out for boys coming round for her in a few years time!) We have a brilliant relationships with our kids, we're having the time of our lives as new empty nesters and we'll hopefully be young enough to really enjoy the grand kids when they come along. First at 21 Second at 22 Third at 23 Fourth at 24 plus one aborted Then I figured out what was happening and had the snip. This didn't work and I never did the test so ended up getting another one pregnant but she aborted. Had the snip done again, did the test and problem sorted.
