Catweazle
i feel qualified to answer this question for you. The moving curtains are most likely the result of a ghost, spirit or minor demon expressing their displeasure at the cold temperature the house will be at due to the single glazing and the box sash window that lets the wind through. I knew there would be a logical explanation. Next up, who hears voices in their head ?
Grazy
We had two excorsisms at my parents home before I moved out and I was present during the second one. When the Priest was reciting the rights there was doors banging and the sound of children running around upstairs. I spent the next 3 months living at my then girlfriends parents house. My mum also rents out some properties and the teachers who were renting a house said they were all moving out as the house was haunted. We held another excorsism there and two of the teachers and the Priests wife saw the spirit.

I beleive theres somthing in my house but its not somthing that im to bothered about, i have freinds also with some strange goings on tales. cumbrian shooter
This is very true, about 6 years ago a family member in his 80s died after fighting a long battle against cancer, he passed on in his bed with his wife by his side just as he wanted! after his death the corroners colected his body and exactly one week later his wif went upstairs to and on the bed was a bright white feather, his wife swears it was him as no other explanation! Blackpowder
As a child a friend of mine was playing by the side of the road when he saw a cyclist on an old sit up and beg bike passing. The man was dressed in kakhi and despite the summer weather wore a greatcoat. The distinctive thing was his description of the tic tic of the old fashioned bicycle freewheel. Personally returning to the car from a late fishing session passing by a country cemetry when ghastly lights were seen flitting across the headstones. The local ghillie collecting worms for the next day. Another pal a keep fit guru was chased across a Tweed bridge by a white sheet of polythene being wind blown between the parapets. Catweazle
A lot of people who believe in ghosts have probably seen one, how many people have seen God ? Millions of people swear they have felt the presence, or heard the voice of God. I haven't, that's why I'm an agnostic. I've heard of many people claiming to have seen ghosts of all descriptions, but strangely nobody has ever managed to film one. Also, have you noticed how most of the stories are very similar ? Usually a relative lost in a tragedy / war or a victorian child or similar. I don't remember many sightings of cavemen / ancient Britons / Romans / plague victims etc. etc. Until someone comes up with some proper proof I'll keep ghosts in the " Load of Tosh" drawer along with Santa, Tooth Fairy, Alien abductions, Zombies, Poltergeists, Loch Ness Monster, Werewolves, Peter Mandelson, Vampires. 39TDS
I know a tale or two of Roman soldiers being seen if that helps you. A couple of those tales say only the top half of the marching soldiers could be seen, as if they were walking on a now sunken road.

stoggieman
Hi all. I tend to have an open mind on this topic. Had some strange experiences when in the forces. But the one thing that I could not explain happend many years ago when a freind and myself fished Spurn Point one very wintery night, At about 0400hrs the weather turned to a blizard with snow like I have never seen since. We decided to call it a night before we got snowed in as the area is very bleak with single track roads that would drift over very quickley. We had only gone about 4 miles and were in the middle of no where when we both saw what appeared to be a girl of about 19-20 wearing what looked like a large bath towel walking on the roadside. I stopped and we both got out with our torches to see if we could help this person in anyway. There was no one there and no footmarks in the snow. Yet we both saw the same thing. Could it have been caused by the falling snow causing a trick of the eye I will never know. Peter
