Everything.

If I didn’t want to spend time with I wouldn’t have married her.

As we’re on this forum I’ll start with the clay shooting we do together.

But, to say what else we do together I might as well list all my hobbies from snowboarding, to re-enactment to going down the pub or out for a meal.

However, I think that you might be asking because you want to find something new and fun to do with the wife.

It could be worth looking round for a local Historical Ball.

It’s a lot of fun to dress up in some seriously nice tailoring, put the wife in a ball gown, and then go out and drink gin till you fall down, then port till you get back up.

(you might feel a bit self-conscious at first, but generally that sort of crowd know how to have a good time)

Alternatively, buy and Xbox and Portal 2.

It’s a great game for 2 to play together.

She's always been into the gym so i got her membership at the place where i train, always gets funny looks from the meatheads when an 8 stone 5ft2 girl is being made to deadlift :D

Also got her into climbing so we try and do that every week, we went the midland game fair on sunday and both thought it was great. Mates of mine took her to some banger racing caravan destruction derby thing near morecambe the other week, she enjoyed it so we're both going to watch that again this sunday.

She tried shooting but found the guns to heavy, might invest in a 20 gauge to see how she finds that.

Usual meals/cinema nonsense.

Sadly she doesn't share my passion for killing zombies on the pc, so gaming is something i'm left to do by myself :D

I thought the purpose of this post was to find things that you don’t do, but that you might like to do. :)

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last few years it’s to give anything a go, you never know how it will turn out.

You say you don’t do fancy dress.

Fair enough.

But what about a 1940s or 1950s style suit and go to a retro music hall ball.

If you want to take the wife out somewhere nice, then it’s nice to get dressed up.

It’s not fancy dress it’s just classic styled clothes.

As you don’t drink, perhaps hire a vintage car to drive her there – make sure you open her door for her.

Or, hire a vintage car and take hew away for the weekend to decent hotel somewhere in the lakes or Scotland.

We raise children together, and thats about it. We have very little in common, but still get on well.

that's it for me too, but it works well, to be honest - i really wouldnt want the mrs to be into the same things as me. i remember meeting a husband and wife duo fishing, poor old sod was being henpecked on the bank too, i felt total pity for him.

One thing I find interesting about conversations like this is how different everyone is.

Meaning no disrespect to anyone here, I’d hate to have a situation where I didn’t spend time with my wife, and she’d hate to not spend time with me. I can’t understand why such a couple would get married.

But that’s fine, we’re married to each other, not to any of you lot. :)

It just shows that different people like different people.

I would suggest if you’re looking for something new and different in your life then do something that’s new for both of you. Don’t try and get each other involved in your own hobbies* instead try something that’s new for both of you.

(* actually, for a young couple that’s **** advice. Do try each other’s hobbies to see if you like them.

But I’m assuming that the average age on here is a bit older so you’ve already tried each other’s hobbies and decided you don’t like them.)
