was meant to be our second syndicate day today but was cancelled at the last min due to lack of members who could not shoot today so me and the old fella decided to look for some pigeons the first farm we looked sat had about 300 birds on the stubbles and in the wood so didn,t look any further, quick chat with the farmer and off we went set up for 11.30am decoys and turbo flapper out they were very slow coming back 1st hour was really slow then they picked up and had a steady trickle of birds coming in both of us shot some really nice birds i had 4 right and lefts by 2pm they had all but dried up, to early to go home so had an hour walking the hedgerows and pit holes for a few pheasants, the dogs pushed about 4 birds up out of range, but managed to push 2 hens up in range of me and they ended up in the bag.

it was a nice day to be out shooting decent wind and bright sunshine, and a goood bag to top it all off

40 pigeons picked 35 2 hen pheasant and a jay i finished with a duck flight but was out of luck with them none came in but nevermind still a good day
